BACKGROUND: The retromolar canal (RMC) is an anatomical variation of the mandibular canal (MC) whose identification and study should be considered given its implication in the surgical procedures of the retromolar area. This large-scale eye-movement study (N = 164) investigated how students read short task assignments to complete information search problems and how their cognitive resources are associated with this reading behavior. These cognitive resources include information searching subskills, prior knowledge, verbal memory, reading fluency, and attentional difficulties. Spin Wave Emission from Vortex Cores under Static Magnetic Bias Fields

We studied the influence of a static in-plane magnetic field on the alternating-field-driven emission of nanoscale spin waves from magnetic vortex cores. Time-resolved scanning transmission X-ray microscopy was used to image spin waves in disk structures of synthetic ferrimagnets and single ferromagnetic layers. For both systems, it was found that an increasing magnetic bias field continuously displaces the wave-emitting vortex core from the center of the disk toward its edge without noticeably altering the spin-wave dispersion relation. Tutkimuksessa testattiin ilmastonmuutoksen vaikutuksia muikun (Coregonus albula) ja siian (C. lavaretus) alkioiden kuolevuuteen, alkioiden kasvuun, kuoriutumisaikaan ja kuoriutumiskokoon. Koejärjestely toteutettiin sekä muikulla että siialla yksilöllisinä ristiinhedelmöityksinä tavoitteena selvittää naaraan ja koiraan vaikutusta sekä niiden yhdysvaikutusta mitattaviin muuttujiin. Underestimation of reliability is discussed from the viewpoint of deflation in estimates of reliability caused by artificial systematic technical or mechanical error in the estimates of correlation (MEC). Most traditional estimators of reliability embed product–moment correlation coefficient (PMC) in the form of item–score correlation (Rit) or principal component or factor loading (λi). The aim of the study was to translate and validate the Test of Mobile Dependence (TMD), and to investigate if there are any associations between mobile phone use and problem gambling. Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) thermometry is a magnetic resonance-based imaging tool that allows the noninvasive measurement of brain core temperature. Although only applicable to cerebrospinal fluid, it is thought to be potentially useful in assessing the thermal pathophysiology of the brain in both patients and healthy subjects. The objective of this article is to provide a concise but thorough review of the basic physical principles and the principal applications of DWI thermometry as a potential method to elucidate the pathophysiology of several brain diseases and neurologic syndromes.
