The possibility of the existence of a core-melted cluster is investigated. To this end, a pair potential is introduced, with the property that the solid state of the cluster is less dense than the liquid state. With this kind of potential, the cluster exhibits a quite unusual behavior. In addition to the known states, solid, liquid, and surface-melted, it can also be found in a “dense-liquid” phase (a disordered state appearing at low temperatures), a “core-melted” phase, and a “core-surface-melted” phase. Summary The oxygen consumption of adult burbot, Lota lota (L.), was examined to determine the effects of fasting and meal ration on oxygen consumption rates. The temperature (2.1 °C) was selected to represent ambient conditions for burbot in winter. The average pre-feeding oxygen consumption rate was 29.5 mg kg−1 h−1. Feeding affected the oxygen consumption rates since the apparent heat increment correlated significantly with the meal ration. However, the meal ration (i.e. vendace, Coregonus albula L.) did not affect the proportion of the ingested meal energy used in the apparent heat increment. International audience; We investigate convection driven by induction heating of a horizontal fluid layer using direct numerical simulations (DNS). This problem is of particular interest in the context of nuclear severe accident mastering. In a real severe accident, the molten core is subjected to homogeneous internal sources resulting from nuclear disintegrations. This situation is mimicked in the laboratory using induction heating as the internal source. In induction heating, however, heat sources are localized in the skin layer. In this paper we investigate robustness and dynamics for coalitional games with transferable utilities (TU games). In particular we study sequences of TU games. These sequences model dynamic situations in which the values of coalitions of players are not known beforehand, and are subject to changes over time. An allocation rule assigns a payoff to each player in each time period. This payoff is bounded by external restrictions, for example due to contractual agreements. The association between depression and cognitive function has been observed in a large number of studies, but there are no clear and robust mechanisms for this association. The aim of this study was to investigate how cognitive functions (working memory inhibition, executive functions cognitive control and psychomotor speed) in one model predict depression above current core affect in a sample of healthy individuals. The study involved 275 adults aged between 20 and 59 years (male 32.7%) and used the depression scale from DASS-42 questionnaire, the Swedish Core affect scale, and the cognitive function task battery. We approach co-creation as a goal-oriented form of dynamic interaction aiming at mutual benefit of all parties. As such, we exclude technology transfer and other linear societal interaction forms that follow a closed-model innovation format. Disposable society represents a way of living that is not sustainable anymore, mainly in a context like our planet where resources are really scarce. As theorized by Paul Connett, the guru of zero waste strategy, there is no waste until that material still contains a drop of usefulness. The core point of the paper is the implementation of a zero waste strategy in a small municipality in Sicily. By building up a SD model we can figure out how saving process connected to the decrease of amount of waste piled up in the landfoll, has been boosting this virtuous cycle, which is bound to cope with the citizens claims about environmental care and lower tax burden level.
