Modeling crowd dynamics through coarse-grained data analysis

International audience; Understanding and predicting the collective behaviour of crowds is essential to improve the efficiency of pedestrian flows in urban areas and minimize the risks of accidents at mass events. We advocate for the development of crowd traffic management systems, whereby observations of crowds can be coupled to fast and reliable models to produce rapid predictions of the crowd movement and eventually help crowd managers choose between tailored optimization strategies. Not just BLAST nt: WGS database joins the party

AbstractSince its introduction in 1990 and with over 50k citations, the NCBI BLAST family has been an essential tool of in silico molecular biology. The BLAST nt database, based on the traditional divisions of GenBank, has been the default and most comprehensive database for nucleotide BLAST searches and for taxonomic classification software in metagenomics. Here we argue that this is no longer the case. Currently, the NCBI WGS database contains one billion reads (almost five times more than GenBank), and with 4.4 trillion nucleotides, WGS has about 14 times more nucleotides than GenBank. Programmatūras izstrādes parvaldības sistēma

Kvalifikācijas darba mērķis ir izstrādāt programmatūras izstrādes pārvaldības sistēmu, kurā varētu ērti pārvaldīt programmatūras izstrādi, redzot aktīvos uzdevumus, un uzskaitīt kļūdas programmatūrā un uzskaitīt to labošanu. Sistēmas tīmekļa API serviss tika izstrādāts izmantojot ASP.NET CORE 5 arhitektūru, kur tika izmantota C# valoda, un sistēmas tīmekļa lietotne tika izstrādāta izmantojot Angular 11 ietvaru, kā arī papildus programmatūras izstrādātājiem tika izveidots “Visual Studio Code” paplašinājums, kurā programmatūras izstrādāji var ērti mainīt uzdevumu, vai kļūdu statusu.

Google Polymer adaptācija ASP.NET MVC 6 satvaram

Šajā darbā tiek apskatīts ASP.NET MVC kā satvars mūsdienīgu tīmekļa lietotņu izstrādei un Google Polymer kā rīks, kas atvieglo šo lietotņu saskarņu izstrādi. Tiek apskatīti abu tehnoloģiju kopējās integrācijas esošie risinājumi, tiek formulēti šī darba ietvaros izstrādājamās integrācijas mērķi un tiek veikta integrācija, atbilstošie formulētajiem mērķiem.

“Google Web Vitals” pielietojums un izpēte

2020. gada novembrī uzņēmums “Google” paziņoja, ka pievienos papildus faktoru savam tīmekļu lapas meklētāj servisa lapu ranžēšanās algoritmam – (GCWV) Google Core Web Vitals testa rezultātus. Testa būtība ir veikt novērojumus par jebkuras tīmekļa lapas veiktspēju un idejiski meklētāj servisā kārtot lapas augstāk ar labāku veiktspēju. Darbā tiek apskatītas Google Core Web Vitals testa metrikas un citas populāras tīmekļa veiktspējas metrikas, to ietekmējošie faktori un biežāk veiktie optimizācijas darbi. Praktiskajā daļā tika veikti optimizācijas darbi autora veidotai tīmekļa lapai. Rezultātā tika gūts metriku rezultātu uzlabojums par 60%. Darbu noslēdz rezultātu un secinājumu nodaļas.

The spectral characteristics of the delta /sup 18/O isotopic ratio time series of the Quelccaya ice cap summit core are investigated with the multi taper method (MTM), the singular spectrum analysis (SSA) and the wavelet transform (WT) techniques for the 500 y long 1485-1984 period. The most significant (at the 99.8% level) cycle according to the MTM F-test has a period centered at 14.4 y while the largest variance explaining oscillation according to the SSA technique has a period centered at 12.9 y. Subsurface nitrate reduction under wetlands takes place in narrow superficial zones

This study aims to investigate the depth distribution of the Nitrate Reduction Potential (NRP) on a natural and a re-established wetland. The obtained NRP provides a valuable data of the driving factors affecting denitrification, the Dissimilatory Nitrate Reduction to Ammonium (DNRA) process and the performance of a re-established wetland. Intact soil cores were collected and divided in slices for the determination of Organic Matter (OM) through Loss of Ignition (LOI) as well as Dissolved Organic Carbon (DOC) and NRP spiking nitrate in batch tests.
