The blink reflex (BlinkR) following electrical stimulation of the supraorbital nerve consists of an early ipsilateral reflex component (R1) and bilateral late reflex components ipsilaterally (R2) and contralateral (R2c). An additional, and even later component, also bilateral, R3, R3c was first described by Penders and Delwaide [34] and so far has not been studied systematically.

Purpose: To analyze the optical quality of intraocular lenses (IOL) with an orange (PC440Y) and a yellow (SN60AT) filter, and correlate these results with the visual quality of patients with these implants. Bakalaura darbs uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 30 lappusēm. Tas satur 18 attēlus, 8 tabulas un atsauces uz 23 literatūras avotiem. Pētījuma mērķis bija novērtēt tādu faktoru kā smēķēšana un kontaktlēcu lietošana ietekme uz radzenes endotēlija fizioloģiju. Metode: 45 pacientiem (vecumā no 29 līdz 58 gadiem) veikta aptauja par smēķēšanas ieradumiem un kontaktlēcu lietošanu. Ikvienam tika novērtēts endotēlijs, trīs reizes mērot ar Takagi 700GL spraugas lampu un EndoKer programmu. Rezultāti: Darbā netika atrasta nozīmīga korelācija starp dzimumu un vecuma grupām attiecībā uz kādu no ietekmes faktoriem. Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts 46 lappusēm angļu valodā. Tas satur 19 attēlus, 9 tabulas, un 62 informācijas avotus. Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt korelāciju starp radzenes biezumu un acs refrakciju 5-12 gadus veciem bērniem. Radzenes biezuma kartes un keratometrija tika mērīta, izmantojot Scheimpflug attēl veidošanas sistēmu Schwind Sirius. Keratometrija un refrakcija tika mērīta, izmantojot autokeratorefraktotonometru Topcon TRK-2P cikloplēģijā. Katram parametram tika veikti trīs mērījumi turpmākai analīzei. Purpose: The model drug norfloxacin (NOR)was encapsulated into trehalose (TRH) and hydroxyethylcellulose(NAT) microspheres to obtain a novel gelling ophthalmic delivery system for prolonged release on corneal tissue. Methods: We assessed NOR release from microspheres, prepared by the emulsion-solvent evaporation method. A new in vitro tear turnover model, including inserts containing reconstituted human corneal epithelium (RHC), was designed to evaluate the TRH/NAT microspheres’ precorneal retention time. AIM: To evaluate the short-term clinical outcomes of Ferrara rings in keratoconus using an optimized nomogram developed after several years of research and retrospective analysis of clinical data. METHODS: This prospective longitudinal non-comparative clinical trial evaluated 88 eyes of 88 patients (age 18-62y) with keratoconus diagnosis from two Spanish centers.
