Abstract This paper deals with the determination of acrolein based on a strategy provided with a sensitive detection, the chemiluminescence; a “clean chemical” analyte treatment, the on‐line UV‐irradiation; and, a simple and quick automated system, the emergent multicommutation continuous‐flow methodology. The present work mainly highlights the simultaneous detection of four skin whitening agents i.e. hydroquinone (HQ), resorcinol (RS), catechol (CC) and 3,3′-dichlorobenzidine (DCB) in facial creams and body lotion. Among these, the first three are positional isomers of dihydroxybenzene so simultaneous separation is difficult with the conventional reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic technique (RP-HPLC). This technique is based on canonical correlation analysis (CCA), a statistical method able to simultaneously exploit the spectral and spatial information characterizing the MRSI data. Analytic first and second derivatives of the energy are implemented for closed-shell systems described by the CCSDT-n (n=1, 1b, 2 and 3) and CC3 electron correlation models. A detailed discussion of the computational requirements of these calculations is given, along with diagrammatic formulas for all relevant quantities. The method is applied to calculate the nuclear magnetic shielding of H2O, CO and N2O and the structure and properties of propadienylidene.
Atom- and Bond-Based 2D TOMOCOMD-CARDD Approach and Ligand-Based Virtual Screening for the Drug Discovery of New Tyrosinase Inhibitors

Two-dimensional atom- and bond-based TOMOCOMD-CARDD descriptors and linear discriminant analysis (LDA) are used in this report to perform a quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) study of tyrosinase-inhibitory activity. A database of inhibitors of the enzyme is collected for this study, within 246 highly dissimilar molecules presenting antityrosinase activity. In total, 7 discriminant functions are obtained by using the whole set of atom- and bond-based 2D indices. All the LDA-based QSAR models show accuracies above 90% in the training set and values of the Matthews correlation coefficient (C) varying from 0.85 to 0.90.
