DESIGNING OUTCOME-BASED PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS THROUGH SYSTEM DYNAMICS MODELLING TO FRAME CORRUPTION BEHAVIOUR IN PUBLIC PROCUREMENT

Corruption is one of the most significant problems facing Serbia. While there are some signs that corruption may have become less rampant in recent years, available evidence suggests that corruption levels are still high while trust in key institutions is low (European Commission, 2014). This phenomenon is ubiquitous and has serious consequences on a country’s public welfare. Numerous conducted studies have mainly focused on specific characteristics such as economic issues, legal issues, social propositions, impact on national development, and about economic policy. The rationale of this research is to concentrate on a specific Anti-Hail Public Service provider in Serbia by not only explori…

Corruption Disclosure in Banking: Insights from the Literature

2023

Transparency and disclosure are pivotal to attenuate the adverse effects of information asymmetries that strongly influence the relationship between banks and their stakeholders (Levine, 1997) and to ensure an adequate and efficient functioning of both banking and financial markets. Among the most important benefits of transparency in the banking sector, it is noteworthy to mention its reduction effect on the cost of capital; its relationship with higher levels of stakeholders’ and investors’ trust (Botosan & Plumlee, 2002; Eng & Mak, 2003); the more effective bank lending activity (Zelenyuk et al., 2020); and the higher levels of financial stability (Nier, 2005).

THE DURATION OF FIRM-DESTINATION EXPORT RELATIONSHIPS: EVIDENCE FROM SPAIN, 1997-2006

2012

I. INTRODUCTION The traditional trade literature that investigates aggregate trade flows emphasizes the sizeable increase in trade relationships since World War II and the remarkable persistence of trade flows. However, recent microlevel studies point out that under the stable aggregate trade flows there is a rich dynamics at firm- and/or product-level with a high turnover. Moreover, there is much persistence in exporting status; being an e…
