Characterization of the Dynamic Interaction between Chassis and Powertrain of a Vehicle Using the Coupling Matrix

International audience; This study is concerned with the vibration transmission between two subsystems of a vehicle: the chassis which is considered as an elastic structure and the powertrain which is considered as a rigid body. The study is carried out based on a new coupling matrix constructed from equations of dynamic behavior of each subsystems. This matrix depends only on the impedance matrices of the two subsystems and the mechanical characteristics of the linking mounts. Under some assumptions, a simplified expression to obtain the overall behaviour of the entire system is proposed. Time-dependent screening explains the ultrafast excitonic signal rise in 2D semiconductors

We calculate the time evolution of the transient reflection signal in an MoS$_2$ monolayer on a SiO$_2$/Si substrate using first-principles out-of-equilibrium real-time methods. Our simulations provide a simple and intuitive physical picture for the delayed, yet ultrafast, evolution of the signal whose rise time depends on the excess energy of the pump laser: at laser energies above the A- and B-exciton, the pump pulse excites electrons and holes far away from the K valleys in the first Brillouin zone. Electron-phonon and hole-phonon scattering lead to a gradual relaxation of the carriers towards small $\textit{Active Excitonic Regions}$ around K, enhancing the dielectric screening. The acc…

Direct preparation of alkylated amide‐derivatives by cross‐coupling chemistry using sustainable protocols is challenging due to sensitivity of the amide functional group to reaction conditions. Herein, we report the synthesis of alkyl‐substituted amides by iron‐catalyzed C(sp2)−C(sp3) cross‐coupling of Grignard reagents with aryl chlorides. The products of these reactions are broadly used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and other biologically‐active molecules. Water browning or brownification refers to increasing water color, often related to increasing dissolved organic matter (DOM) and carbon (DOC) content in freshwaters. Browning has been recognized as a significant physicochemical phenomenon altering boreal lakes, but our understanding of its ecological consequences in different freshwater habitats and regions is limited. Here, we review the consequences of browning on different freshwater habitats, food webs and aquatic-terrestrial habitat coupling. The 1-way on-line coupled atmospheric chemistry model system MECO(n) – Part 2: On-line coupling with the Multi-Model-Driver (MMD)

A new, highly flexible model system for the seamless dynamical down-scaling of meteorological and chemical processes from the global to the meso-γ scale is presented. A global model and a cascade of an arbitrary number of limited-area model instances run concurrently in the same parallel environment, in which the coarser grained instances provide the boundary data for the finer grained instances. Thus, disk-space intensive and time consuming intermediate and pre-processing steps are entirely avoided and the time interpolation errors of common off-line nesting approaches are minimised. Systematic approach to β and 2vββ decays of mass A=100-136 nuclei

In this work we perform a systematic study of pairs of single-β-decaying nuclei in the mass region A = 100–136 to extract information on the effective value of the axial-vector coupling constant gA. As the many-body framework we use the quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA) and its proton-neutron variant (pnQRPA) in singleparticle valence bases with Woods-Saxon-calculated single-particle energies. It is found that, to a reasonable approximation, gA is a linear function of the mass number A, with a slightly different parametrization below and above the mass A = 121.
