Search for heavy neutral lepton production in K+ decays to positrons

A search for heavy neutral lepton ($N$) production in $K^+\to e^+N$ decays using the data sample collected by the NA62 experiment at CERN in 2017--2018 is reported. Upper limits of the extended neutrino mixing matrix element $|U_{e4}|^2$ are established at the level of $10^{-9}$ over most of the accessible heavy neutral lepton mass range 144--462 MeV/$c^2$, with the assumption that the lifetime exceeds 50 ns. These limits improve significantly upon those of previous production and decay searches. The $|U_{e4}|^2$ range favoured by Big Bang Nucleosynthesis is excluded up to a mass of about 340 MeV/$c^2$.

We investigated if systemic atherosclerosis as detected by ultrasound carotid plaque (CP) could improve the predictive value of the CHA 2 DS 2 -VASc score. Il capitolo propone una riflessione sul conflitto urbano da una prospettiva geografica, a partire da un caso studio rilevato nel 2014 nel quartiere Barbès a Parigi, dove, in occasione della qualificazione agli ottavi di finale della nazionale algerina ai Mondiali di calcio disputati in Brasile, molti tifosi si ritrovarono per festeggiare il risultato nel corso di un’intera notte. L’evento, giudicato a rischio dalle autorità, fece scattare un grande spiegamento delle forze dell’ordine. Si trovarono così contrapposte due dialettiche, potenzialmente conflittuali. Non si arrivò allo scontro e, per usare i termini di Barthes, i due “discorsi cittadini” si collocarono su due piani non collidenti.…
