Seamless Learning Environments in Higher Education with Mobile Devices and Examples
2016
The use of seamless learning environments that have the potential to support lifelong learning anytime and anywhere has become a reality. In this sense, many educational institutions have started to consider introducing seamless learning environments into their programs. The aim of this study is to analyze how various educational university programs implement the design elements for seamless learning environments with mobile devices. For that purpose, three cases involved in a Finnish teaching development project are explored by conducting semi-structured interviews with key participants. The themes of the interviews were related to the theoretical background for (mobile) seamless learning …

Education on Sexual Diversity through Cinema
2014
Abstract Our proposal raises the urgency to include the defense of sexual diversity in the curriculum of Art Education. We provide visibility mechanisms to sexual minorities in personal and social order, and propose an approach to the subject, especially in training teachers. From aesthetic reflection we must foster a new critical look at Media Education. We should encourage future teachers to address these issues in their classes, appropriating the use and content of images. A topical issue such as the promotion of respect for sexual diversity has on films perfect ally. Suggest ideas about educational processes through a series of examples.

Investigation of University Students’ Perceptions of Their Educators as Role Models and Designers of Digitalized Curricula
2020
Higher education graduates need 21st-century skills, both learning skills and competences for working with technology. However, research indicates an insufficient integration of ICTs into teaching and learning. In this paper, we examine students’ perception of various technology-based issues: (a) ICT integration within a Slovenian university’s learning environment, (b) teachers as role models for ICT use, and (c) the processes of collaboration and creativity as integrative parts featured in learning technologies. We studied beliefs about the contribution of ICT use to teaching and learning as the primary factors influencing ICT integration. A one-way ANOVA revealed that students in teacher …
Young adults' achievement and attributional strategies in the transition from school to work: antecedents and consequences
2002
This study focused on investigating the extent to which the achievement and attributional strategies individuals deploy influence their success in dealing with the transition from school to work, and whether their success or failure in this particular would have consequences for the kinds of strategy they deployed later in life. Two hundred and fifty young adults filled in the Cartoon‐Attribution‐Strategy Inventory, a revised version of Beck's Depression Inventory, and a work status questionnaire at the beginning of the last spring term of their curriculum, four months after their graduation, and a year and a half after it. The results showed that the deployment of maladaptive strategies, …
Didattica e differenze di genere in alunni di 8-12 anni
2013
