The main purpose of the present study is to test the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) in predicting sedentary behaviour to a group of parents with young children and a sedentary job. Tämä laadullinen tutkimus käsittelee vanhempien kokemia huolia lapsen päivähoidon aloituksessa. Tarkoituksena oli selvittää, mitä huolia vanhemmat ovat kokeneet hoidon aloitusvaiheessa ja miten he ovat ilmaisseet nämä huolet päiväkodin henkilökunnalle sekä miten työntekijät ovat huomioineet vanhempien huolia. Tutkimus tuo esiin vanhempien kokemuksia, jotka on lasten hyvinvoinnin lisäksi syytä ottaa huomioon päivähoidon aloituksen yhteydessä. El presente trabajo tiene carácter descriptivo y es consecuencia de años de servicio en políticas públicas de seguridad; esta experiencia personal ha pasado por el tamiz de la reflexión ética, y al escribirla hemos pretendido reconstruir esa experiencia de trabajo desde la perspectiva de una ética cívica. Esta voluntad de reconstrucción supone en cierto modo una “justicia reparadora” con los verdaderos protagonistas de esta historia: policías y vecinos, todos ciudadanos en un mismo escenario, la España constitucional, que han trabajado por la seguridad ciudadana y la libertad. Gestural expressions in use for unveiling dynamic experience attributed to verbs

The focus of this paper is on justifying the presented experimental design that aims at examining the enactive linkages between a verb’s content and a sensorimotor experience of movement. The experiment utilised spontaneous production of hand and vocal gestures for expressing the energetic feel attributed to a word. Preliminary qualitative analysis of the expressions shows degrees of similarity in terms of experiential movement qualities. These results imply that conceiving a verb’s meaning is not necessarily far removed from bodily action. peerReviewed
Incidentality on a continuum: A comparative conceptualization of incidental news consumption

This article seeks to contribute to theorizing the dynamics of incidental news consumption. Through an analysis of 200 semi-structured interviews with people in Argentina, Finland, Israel, Japan, and the United States, we show that intentionality in news consumption can be viewed on a continuum, which goes from deliberately setting apart time to access the news on specific outlets to skimming through unsought-for news on social and broadcast media, with intermediate practices such as respondents setting up an environment where they are more or less likely to encounter news.
