The groundbreaking English language translation of Tirant lo Blanc by New York poet and academic David Rosenthal remains dominant three decades after its initial, and celebrated, release. Aquest article recupera el concepte d’art de la memòria aplicat a les obres de Ramon Llull a partir de la presentació i el comentari de figures de mans amb finalitats mnemotècniques, especulatives i predicadores, que es troben en els manuscrits lul·lians de l’Ars demonstrativa –escrita el 1283– datats del segle xiii i el xvi. En els manuscrits de Venècia (Bibl. Marciana, Lat. VI. 200), de Bèrgam (MA 365) i de San Candido (B. della Collegiata, VIII C.8), la mà està vinculada a la figura S de l’Ars demonstrativa. Purpose: The mediator (MED) multisubunit-complex modulates the activity of the transcriptional machinery, and genetic defects in different MED subunits (17, 20, 27) have been implicated in neurologic diseases. Protection against Leishmania major is dependent on IL-12 release from L. major-infected dendritic cells (DC) that induce IFN-gamma-producing Th1/Tc1 cells. IL-27, a novel member of the IL-12 family, is a heterodimer composed of p28 and IL-12p40-related Epstein-Barr virus-induced gene 3 (EBI3), and was shown to be produced by DC. In this study, we utilized EBI3-deficient mice to investigate the role of IL-27 in leishmaniasis using physiological low-dose infections that mimic natural transmissions. Il saggio presenta alcune considerazioni conclusive sulla sezione monografica dedicata a Istituzioni, relazioni e culture politiche nelle città tra stato della Chiesa e regno di Napoli (1350-1500 ca.). I tre autori, adottando un approccio comparativo, riflettono sulla definizione degli spazi nelle due aree confinanti, sulla condizione delle città pontificie e sulle culture politiche e le specificità dei centri urbani considerati nella raccolta.

Psoriasis is an autoinflammatory skin disease of unknown etiology. Topical application of Aldara cream containing the Toll-like receptor (TLR)7 agonist Imiquimod (IMQ) onto patients induces flares of psoriasis. Likewise, in mice IMQ triggers pathological changes closely resembling psoriatic plaque formation. Key cytokines like IL-23 and type-I IFN (IFN-I), both being produced mainly by dendritic cells (DCs), have been implicated in psoriasis. ITALIANO: L’articolo propone una prima riflessione sui modi di leggere i testi storiografici nell’Italia meridionale tardomedievale a partire dalle glosse presenti nel ms. BAV, Vat. lat. 5001. Il codice, databile agli inizi del XIV secolo, contiene una miscellanea di cronache, documenti e testi di altro genere prodotti nel Mezzogiorno longobardo tra l’VIII e il X secolo. Questi testi, e soprattutto le cronache di Erchemperto e dell’Anonimo Salernitano, già nel XIV secolo sono state oggetto di numerose annotazioni ad opera di almeno cinque lettori diversi.
