Järjestelmiä prostituution säätelemiseksi luotiin 1800-luvulla ympäri Eurooppaa. Wienissä prostituution säätely aloitettiin yli vuosikymmenen jatkuneiden debattien jälkeen vuonna 1873. Julkisen siveellisyyden suojelun ohella prostituoitujen rekisteröintiin ja säännöllisiin terveystarkastuksiin perustuneen säätelyjärjestelmän tavoitteena oli sukupuolitautien, erityisesti kupan, ennaltaehkäisy. Antibioottiresistenssi luokitellaan ihmisen terveyden suurimmaksi uhaksi. Antibioottiresistenssi lisääntyy bakteeripopulaatiossa konjugatiivisen plasmidin sisältävien bakteerien välityksellä jopa eri bakteerilajien välillä. PRD1-virus infektoi N-, P- ja W-tyypin konjugatiivisia plasmideja kantavia bakteereja. Tämän työn tarkoituksena oli selvittää, voisiko PRD1-viruksen avulla poistaa bakteeripopulaation vastustuskyky antibiooteille. Tätä testattiin kasvattamalla antibiooteille vastustuskykyisiä bakteereja ilman virusta ja viruksen läsnä ollessa. Bakteerien kasvukäyrät mitattiin lisäksi eri kasvuympäristöissä. In the title complex, (NH3OH)2[PtCl6]·2C12H24O6, the PtIV atom is coordinated by six chloride anions in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. The Pt—Cl bond lengths are comparable to those reported for other hexachloridoplatinate(IV) species. Abstract. Dehydration in the Antarctic winter stratosphere is a well-known phenomenon that is annually observed by satellites and occasionally observed by balloon-borne measurements. However, in situ measurements of dehydrated air masses in the Antarctic vortex are very rare. Here, we present detailed observations with the in situ and GLORIA remote sensing instrument payload aboard the German aircraft HALO. Strongly dehydrated air masses down to 1.6 ppmv of water vapor were observed as far north as 47° S in an altitude between 12 and 13 km in the lowermost stratosphere. El texto analiza la importancia que tuvo el uso literario de la sátira para la cultura política del primer republicanismo español a través de la figura de Juan Martínez Villergas (1817-1894), el más conocido autor satírico de la España de las décadas centrales del siglo XIX. Se señalan el sentido y la utilidad de este género literario para esta cultura política. Asimismo, se apunta a cómo la confluencia entre la actividad política y la literaria configuraron un determinado modelo de poeta revolucionario y una forma de entender la literatura que empezó a ser cuestionada y arrinconada en la España posrevolucionaria, bajo la hegemonía cultural del liberalismo respetable.

Naturally Occurring Oxazole Structural Units as Ligands of Vanadium Catalysts for Ethylene-Norbornene (Co)polymerization

1,3-Oxazole and 4,5-dihydro-1,3-oxazole are common structural motifs in naturally occurring peptides. A series of vanadium complexes were synthesized using VCl3(THF)3 and methyl substituted (4,5-dihydro-1,3-oxazol-2-yl)-1,3-oxazoles as ligands and analyzed using NMR and MS methods. The complexes were found to be active catalysts both in ethylene polymerization and ethylene-norbornene copolymerization. The position of methyl substituent in the ligand has considerable impact on the performance of (co)polymerization reaction, as well as on the microstructure, and thus physical properties of the obtained copolymers.
