Counting the minimum node weight spanning trees for broadcast transmission in wireless sensor networks

Artykuł przedstawia algorytm optymalizacji zużycia energii dla broadcastu w sieciach sensorowych. Transmisja broadcastu pozwala na wysłanie danych do wszystkich portów składających się na sieć. Bezprzewodowe sieci sensorowe zbudowane są z rozproszonych urządzeń pomiarowych. Mają one ograniczone zasoby energii. W tym artykule stworzymy model sieci sensorowej z jednym sensorem broadcastującym. Do tej sieci użyjemy algorytmu znajdującego minimalne spinające drzewo wag, pozwalające na oszczędne wykorzystanie energii sensorów.
Dealing with viewers’ complaints: Role, visibility and transparency of PSB Ombudsmen in ten European countries

The article shows the results of a comparative analysis of the complaints management mechanisms offered by ten European Public Service Broadcasting (PSB) systems on their corporate websites. Using a qualitative methodology, it maps the procedures and evaluates the visibility, transparency and dissemination of results. The findings show, firstly, great diversity in terms of responsible election and management, despite the converging media governance. Background & aims Obeticholic acid (OCA) is the second-line treatment approved for patients with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and an inadequate response or intolerance to ursodeoxycholic acid. This study examined talk by parents about the early years transitions of their children (n = 7) in the context of parental non-standard working hours and Finnish early childhood education and care (ECEC) services. Parents were interviewed at three time points: when their child was aged one, four, five or six years (a total of 21 interviews). The third interview was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this article, we utilize an application of Deleuze and Quattari’s (1987) concept of assemblage to explore and better understand the interconnectedness and materiality of the policies of early childhood education and care (ECEC). To exemplify how directing our focus to assemblages can further the understanding of policies in the everyday life of families, we will present a Finnish case of entitlement to ECEC. Since 1996, children under school age have enjoyed the entitlement to full-day ECEC provided by local authorities. Incidentality on a continuum: A comparative conceptualization of incidental news consumption

This article seeks to contribute to theorizing the dynamics of incidental news consumption. Through an analysis of 200 semi-structured interviews with people in Argentina, Finland, Israel, Japan, and the United States, we show that intentionality in news consumption can be viewed on a continuum, which goes from deliberately setting apart time to access the news on specific outlets to skimming through unsought-for news on social and broadcast media, with intermediate practices such as respondents setting up an environment where they are more or less likely to encounter news. Yleisradio tilasi tutkimusryhmältämme laajan katsauksen Ylen audio-on-demand (AOD) -tarjonnan merkityksestä julkisen palvelun tehtävän toteuttamiselle. Raporttimme nojaa 1) aiempaan tutkimukseen ja jo olemassa olleisiin data-aineistoihin, 2) väestöllisesti edustavaan uuteen kyselytutkimukseen, 3) lähes 60 AOD-sisältötunnin analyysiin, sekä 4) kymmeneen tutkimushaastatteluun suomalaisten audiomedian asiantuntijoiden kanssa. Raporttiin pyydettiin selvittämään AOD-sisältöjen ja lineaarisen radion eroja ja yhtäläisyyksiä.
