Przeobrażenia społeczno-gospodarcze Kędzierzyna-Koźla w okresie transformacji

W opracowaniu przedstawiono stan oraz kierunki i zakres zmian społecznych i gospodarczych w Kędzierzynie-Koźlu w latach 1995-2018. Przyjęty okres badawczy pozwala wskazać tendencje rozwojowe miasta, jednocześnie był on warunkowany dostępnością wiarygodnych i porównywalnych danych statystycznych. Badania przeprowadzono przede wszystkim na podstawie analizy wskaźników stanu, struktury i dynamiki wybranych zjawisk opisujących sytuacje ludnościową i gospodarczą miasta. Diagnozowaną sytuację rozpatrywano zarówno jako efekt uwarunkowań, jak i element mający istotne znaczenie dla rozwoju miasta. An Analysis of the Residential Segregation of Foreigners in the Municipality of Palermo

Ethnic residential segregation in Italy is emerging as a key question, which will be crucial in the definition and implementation of both urban and social policies. This chapter focuses on this phenomenon in the Italian Metropolitan Area of Palermo. We use individual data for all the population residing in the city on 31 December 2011, organised by ethnicity and neighbourhood to describe the spatial distribution and the residential segregation of foreigners in the city, applying many different segregation measures. This paper examines the consistency between gender equality in opinions and attitudes and equality in the division of household labor by building a typology of respondents that combines two indexes for two dimensions of gender equality. The typology identifies four types of couples: gender unequal attitudes and gender unequal housework sharing, gender equal attitudes and gender unequal housework sharing, gender unequal attitudes and gender equal housework sharing, gender equal attitudes and gender equal housework sharing. In all European countries, migrant populations tend to have worse living conditions than native; this is particularly true for those born outside the EU. This paper proposes a new way to look at the relative living conditions of foreigners by looking at non-monetary (or ‘direct’) indicators of material deprivation in Italy-a country characterized by the presence of a wide range of nationalities. To examine differences in economic integration of foreigners, the paper documents deprivation differentials across groups of foreigners. Background: The vast majority of demographic studies have approached and operationalised the notion of economic uncertainty using snapshot indicators. Hence, the complexity and diversity of individuals' employment careers were largely hidden.
