In the project of the Politeama’s Theater in Palermo, the Architect Almeyda summarizes, in an expressive and model balance, the technological component and geometrical/spatial shape, providing optimal solutions to a structural and functional problems. The importance of users for innovation has been increasingly emphasized in the literatures on design and management of technology. Less attention has been given to how people shape technology-in-use. This paper first provides a review of literature on technology use in the social and cultural studies of technology. It then moves to examine empirically how a novel alarm and monitoring appliance was appropriated in the work of home-care nurses and in the everyday living of elderly people. El text adapta el Coeficient de Gini per elaborar un Coeficient de Desigualtat Lingüística (CDL) i aplicar-lo al cas valencià, tenint en compte les Taxes de Competència i les Taxes d?Ús. Es desenvolupen dos models, un basat en corbes parabòliques i un altre basat en corbes exponencials per al cas de disposar d?una parella de dades (x,y). Es calculen els Coeficients de Desigualtat Lingüística en ambdós casos per a les regions sociolingüístiques valencianes. Finalment es compara el resultat amb una corba general per al cas valencià
