Physical activity (PA) during childhood plays an important role in brain development. This role is played in both the structural domain, prefrontal cortex area, and in the functional domain, involving the higher cognitive functions, including the executive functions (EF). Working memory (WM), inhibition, and switching as fundamental EF were investigated in an Italian children sample before and after four months of an Enriched Sports Activities-Program (ESA-Program). Molecular ND Band Spectroscopy in the Divertor Region of Nitrogen Seeded JET Discharges

In this contribution we present OES measurements in the JET tokamak of the deuterated NH (ND) radical and the correlation between results of those experiments and measurement of ammonia production. The observation region covers most of the divertor and its outer throat. Measurements are performed in different magnetic configurations. The results include temporal and spatial dependence of the molecular emission intensity and study of the emission band shape (vibrational and rotational temperatures) during different JET pulses, with or without nitrogen seeding. Centrality and rapidity dependence of inclusive pion and prompt photon production in p+Pb collisions at the LHC with EPS09s nPDFs

The centrality dependencies of the inclusive neutral pion and prompt photon nuclear modification factors for p+Pb collisions at the LHC are studied using a spatially dependent set of nuclear PDFs, EPS09s. The calculations are performed at mid- and forward rapidities searching for an observable which would optimally probe the spatial dependence of the nuclear PDFs. In addition, we discuss to which $x$ values of the nucleus the different observables are sensitive.
The impact of the LHC nuclear program on nPDFs

Volume: 612 The proton-lead and lead-lead runs at the LHC are providing an enormous amount of data sensitive to the nuclear modifications of the initial state. The measurements explore a region of phase space not probed by previous experiments opening a possibility to test and hopefully, also improve the current knowledge of nuclear parton densities. In this talk, we discuss to what extent the present quantitative results for the charge asymmetry in electroweak boson production show sensitivity to the nuclear parton distributions. Peer reviewed

Oxymonas has the characteristic structures and organization of other oxymonads including two separated pairs of basal bodies/flagella, a preaxostylar lamina, a paracrystalline axostyle, and an absence of mitochondria and Golgi. Like other Oxymonadinae genera it possesses a long proboscis, the rostellum which is terminated by the holdfast. Like the genera Pyrsonympha and Streblomastix, Oxymonas possesses a holdfast which permits it to attach to the cuticle of the termite hind-gut. Bolboporites is an enigmatic Ordovician cone-shaped fossil, the precise nature and systematic affinities of which have been controversial over almost two centuries. For the first time, a wide range of techniques (CT-scan, SEM, cathodoluminescence, XPL, UV epifluorescence, EBSD, FT-IR and XRF spectrometry) were applied to well-preserved specimens of Bolboporites from Norway and Russia. Our main finding confirms its echinoderm affinities, as shown by its stereomic microstructure and by the first definitive evidence of its monocrystalline nature.
