Differential effects of perceptions of equal, favourable and unfavourable autonomy support on educational and well-being outcomes

In this study, we examined whether high-school students experienced optimal educational and well-being outcomes when they perceived that they and their classmates received an equal, rather than unequal, and high amount of autonomy support from teachers. In a prospective study that aimed to predict academic grades and well-being outcomes, surface analyses of polynomial regression equations pointed that perceptions of equal autonomy support were the most optimal in terms of yielding highest levels of need satisfaction, autonomous forms of motivation and happiness with math courses. Darbā ir izveidots un analizēts matemātiskais modelis biomasas gazifikācijai ar nelineāru diferenciālvienādojumu sistēmu. Pirmkārt, tiek iegūta parasto diferenciālvienādojumu sistēma. Simulācijas tiek veiktas, izmantojot Runges-Kutas ar 4. kārtas punktu šablonu un iebūvēto funkciju programpaketē MATLAB. Tika izveidots reālistisks modelis ar daļēju parciālo diferenciālvienādojumu. Telpiskā diskretizācija tiek veikta, izmantojot galīgo tilpuma metodi. Izmantojot programmu MATLAB tika veiktas simulācijas vairākiem gazifikācijas procesu scenārijiem. Optimālākam rezultātu novērtējumam papildus apskata un ilustrē piemēru sērkociņu degšanai un to atkarībai no izvēlētajiem parametriem.

Ocean acidification is a global phenomenon linked to the CO2 absorption by the surface of the sea. This increasing process leads to a rise of the CO2 partial pressure (pCO2) that changes the seawater chemistry. It is known that such changes have negative consequences for many marine organisms. However, the effects of acidification on fishes are yet poorly understood. Fishes have been hypothesized to be more physiologically tolerant to elevated CO2. Updating of egg-laying of Loggerhead sea Turtle Caretta caretta (Reptilia Chelonidae) in Sicily. Remarks on the value of the Citizen Science. The aim of this paper is to put together data on the egg- laying by the Loggerhead sea Turtle Caretta caretta in Sicily, mainly after recordings by amateurs, tourists and occasional observers. 25 nesting events by this turtle are reported in the main island in 2017 and 2018. Comparing these figures with past records, they appear very high; it may be in part due to an awareness campaign carried out in the last years to solicit such reports. Search for a diffuse flux of high-energy ¿µ with the ANTARES neutrino telescope

A search for a diffuse flux of astrophysical muon neutrinos, using data collected by the ANTARES neutrino telescope is presented. A $(0.83\times 2\pi)$ sr sky was monitored for a total of 334 days of equivalent live time. The searched signal corresponds to an excess of events, produced by astrophysical sources, over the expected atmospheric neutrino background. The observed number of events is found compatible with the background expectation. Assuming an $E^{-2}$ flux spectrum, a 90% c.l. upper limit on the diffuse $\nu_\mu$ flux of $E^2\Phi_{90%} = 5.3 \times 10^{-8} \ \mathrm{GeV\ cm^{-2}\ s^{-1}\ sr^{-1}} $ in the energy range 20 TeV - 2.5 PeV is obtained.
