Flow diversion for indirect carotid-cavernous fistula: Still an off-label indication?

Background: Flow diversion (FD) is an established treatment for large or giant wide-necked unruptured intracranial aneurysms. In the past few years, the use of flow diverter devices was extended to several other “off-label” indications, including solitary or adjunctive treatment to coil embolization for direct (Barrow A type) carotid cavernous fistulas (CCFs). The use of liquid embolic agents still represents the first-line treatment for indirect CCFs. Dada la prevalencia del trastorno por déficit de atención e hiperactividad (TDAH) en la infancia y adolescencia y las difi- cultades diagnósticas que se evidencian tanto en la práctica clínica como en la literatura1, se planteó un estudio para analizar la concordancia entre los diagnósticos realizados mediante entrevista clínica en pediatría de atención primaria y los realizados en una unidad de salud mental de infancia y adolescencia (USMIA) mediante evaluación psicométrica y entrevista; además, se evaluó la relación entre el tipo de TDAH diagnosticado en la USMIA y el tratamiento prescrito desde esta unidad.

In a bounded domain Ω we deal with the Dirichlet problem by taking A = R N and u = 0 in R N ∖ Ω , and the Neumann problem by taking A = Ω . We include here the limit case p = 1 that has the extra difficulty of giving a meaning to u ( y ) − u ( x ) | u ( y ) − u ( x ) | when u ( y ) = u ( x ) .
