Masteroppgave velferdsfag- Universitetet i Agder, 2015 Det å kunne lese er fundamentalt viktig i vårt samfunn, og det forventes at alle kan lese. Det kan derfor være en stor utfordring og påkjenning for de elevene i skolen som ikke mestrer lesing, verken alene eller høytlesning sammen med andre. Forskning viser til at dyr generelt kan ha en positiv effekt på mennesker, og bruk av en «såkalt» lesehund i skolen er ny tilnærmingsmåte å nærme seg lesing på.
