(Z)-1-Chloro-1-[2-(2-nitrophenyl)hydrazinylidene]propan-2-one
2012
The title molecule, C9H8ClN3O3, lies on a mirror plane. Intramolecular N—H...O and N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds occur. One of the nitro O atoms is disordered (site occupancy ratio = 0.40:0.10).
The enrichment ratio of atomic contacts in crystals, an indicator derived from the Hirshfeld surface analysis
2014
An enrichment ratio is derived from the decomposition of the crystal contact surface between pairs of interacting chemical species. The propensity of different contact types to form is investigated.
Mipomersen: a lipid-lowering agent with a novel mechanism of action
2013
“...mipomersen is a ... valuable alternative to apheresis for patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia.”
Change and stability of sense of coherence in adulthood: Longitudinal evidence from the Healthy Child study
2007
Abstract The main aim of this three-wave 35-year follow-up study among Finnish employees ( n = 532) was to investigate whether Sense of Coherence (SOC) is more stable among those with high SOC compared to those with low SOC, as hypothesized by Antonovsky [Antonovsky, A. (1987). Unraveling the mystery of health: how people manage stress and stay well. San Francisco, CA, US: Jossey-Bass], using two measurement points over 13 years. The participants were first studied in adolescence in 1961–1963, after which they responded to two postal questionnaires measuring SOC, first in 1985, and again in 1998. The results of the Factor Mixture Modeling identified two groups of individuals with different…
Crystal structure ofN-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)glycyl-(Z)-β-bromodehydroalanine methyl ester [Boc–Gly–(β-Br)(Z)ΔAla–OMe]
2014
In a dehydroamino acid with a C=C bond between the α- and β-C atoms, the amino acid residues are linked trans to each other and there are no strong intramolecular hydrogen bonds. The torsion angles indicate a non-helical conformation of the molecule.
Dimensional encapsulation of I− I 2 I− in an organic salt crystal matrix
2010
Bis(trimethylammonium)hexane diiodide encapsulates iodine from solution and through a gas/solid reaction yielding in a predictable and controllable manner the selective formation of the rare polyiodide species I(-)...I-I...I(-), which matches in length to the chosen dication.
Angioedema Coexisting Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria Negatively Influences Patients’ Sense of Coherence, What Results in Susceptibility to Anxiety Sym…
2021
Background: Angioedema coexisting chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) is proved to result in patient anxiety occurrence, but the mechanisms and susceptibility patterns are unknown. Sense of coherence (SOC) is one of methods of coping with stress and is defined as a person’s general orientation toward life. We decided to assess SOC disturbances in CSU patients in the context of possible angioedema association. Methods: The study comprised 71 CSU subjects. To analyze disease activity, the Urticaria Activity Score seven-day assessment questionnaire (UAS7) was used. For anxiety assessment, the STAI questionnaire was used. The SOC-29 questionnaire, consisting of questions related to comprehensib…
Er intensivavdelinger et godt sted for intensivsykepleieren å jobbe? : en kvantitativ undersøkelse av intensivsykepleierens jobbtilfredshet og grad a…
2016
Masteroppgave i spesialsykepleie – Universitetet i Agder 2016 Background: There is a lack of intensive care nurses at the Norwegian intensive care units (ICU). Norwegian Nurses Organisation concludes this is crucial regarding the capacity and quality within health services. We underline a good working environment is of great importance in order to keep and recruit colleagues with relevant competence. It is of importance that the intensive care nurse experiences high degree of job satisfaction and experiences low degree of burnout in order to provide good/professional intensive care treatment. Aim: 1. To investigate the relationship between demographic and job-related variables and the ICU n…
Effects of a computerized decision support system on care planning for pressure ulcers and malnutrition in nursing homes: an intervention study.
2013
Author's accepted version (post-print). Background: Nursing documentation is essential for facilitating the flow of information to guarantee continuity, quality and safety in care. High-quality nursing documentation is frequently lacking; the implementation of computerized decision support systems is expected to improve clinical practice and nursing documentation. Aim: The present study aimed at investigate the effects of a computerized decision support system and an educational program as intervention strategies for improved nursing documentation practice on pressure ulcers and malnutrition in nursing homes. Design, setting and participants: An intervention study with two intervention grou…
Alcohol Abuse Mediates the Association between Baseline T/C Ratio and Anger Expression in Intimate Partner Violence Perpetrators.
2015
The imbalance between testosterone (T) and cortisol (C) levels has been proposed as a possible marker of risk for intimate partner violence (IPV). Moreover, it could be related to a high probability of adopting risky behaviors such as alcohol abuse which, in turn, promotes the onset of IPV. This study tested the potential mediating effect of alcohol consumption on the relationship between baseline T/C ratio and anger expression in IPV perpetrators and non-violent controls. Alcohol consumption was higher in the former than controls. A high baseline T/C ratio was only associated with high anger expression in IPV perpetrators, and this association was mediated by high alcohol consumption. Thus…
