Full-wave analysis of industrial microwave applicators: TM modes

In this paper, full-wave analysis of the TE modes of an industrial cylindrical microwave applicator is presented. The dispersion characteristics and fields configurations are shown. These results are obtained by a numerical simulation based on the residue theory. The authors have obtained particular modes called loop modes, which have a complex propagation constant that describes a loop within the complex plane. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Full-wave FDTD design and analysis of wideband microstrip-to-waveguide transitions

Wideband transitions are designed and analysed by using two different approaches of the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method, in combination with the theory of nonuniform transmission lines. These transitions consist of a ridged waveguide-based taper between a shielded microstrip and a standard X-band rectangular waveguide. In the first step, a full-wave 2D-FDTD scheme is used to calculate the dispersion characteristics, as well as the geometry dependence of the impedance in the double ridged waveguide. Temporal Dispersion Characterization of Over-Building Propagation Applied to Iso-Frequency Repeaters

This letter presents the results of a measurements campaign carried out at 2050 MHz with the aim of characterizing the time dispersion of multipath propagation when the transmit and receive antennas are placed near and situated on rooftops or mounted on masts. The measurements were taken in four separate locations within the urban area of Madrid, Spain. The reaction of the copper(I) β-diketiminate copper complex {(Cu(BDIMes))2(μ-C6H6)} (BDIMes = N,N'-bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)pentane-2,4-diiminate) with the low-valent group 13 metal β-diketiminates M(BDIDip) (M = Al or Ga; BDIDip = N,N'-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)pentane-2,4-diiminate) in toluene afforded the complexes {(BDIMes)CuAl(BDIDip)} and {(BDIMes)CuGa(BDIDip)}. These feature unsupported copper-aluminum or copper-gallium bonds with short metal-metal distances, Cu-Al = 2.3010(6) A and Cu-Ga = 2.2916(5) A. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations showed that approximately half of the calculated association enthalpies can be attributed to London dispersion forces.
