Participation in Social Media: Studying Explicit and Implicit Forms of Participation in Communicative Social Networks

The diverse forms of participation in social media raise many methodological and ethical issues that should be acknowledged in research. In this paper, participation in social media is studied by utilising the framework of explicit and implicit participation. The focus is on the communicative and communal aspects of social media. The aim of the paper is to promote the reconsideration of what constitutes participation when online users create connections rather than content. The underlying argument is that research on social media and the development of methods should concentrate more on implicit forms of participation.

Understanding the impact of digital on performing arts: a systematic literature review proposal

Digital technologies have profoundly changed the cultural and creative industries. Due to the intrinsic characteristics of the performing arts sector, this digital transition has had a later impact on it. However, it has accelerated since the Covid-19 pandemic, forcing organizations to digitally transform themselves to keep in touch with their audience(s). Now that this crisis is over, many strategic and operational questions still remain unanswered. This research proposes a systematic literature review in order to establish the state of the art of the research on digitalization of the performing arts sector and to highlight the main research avenues to be explored.

Characterization of a CZT focal plane small prototype for hard X-ray telescope

The promise of good energy and spatial resolution coupled with high efficiency and room temperature operation has fuelled a large international effort to develop cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) for hard X-ray applications. We are involved on the development of a hard X-ray telescope based on multilayer optics and focal plane detector operative in the 10-80 keV energy range. Maģistra darbā autore analizē tiesu praksi Administratīvā procesa likuma 253. panta sestās daļas piemērošanā, ar mērķi noskaidrot, kādos gadījumos tiesai ir pamats, atceļot administratīvo aktu, uzdot iestādei izdot jaunu administratīvo aktu, un vai iestāde drīkst izdot jaunu administratīvo aktu pēc savas iniciatīvas. Autore secina, ka tiesu prakse Administratīvā procesa likuma 253. panta sestās daļas piemērošanā nav konsekventa. The national authorities recently implemented the first major program —Diaspora Start-up—to support the business initiatives of Romanian citizens who live abroad and who are interested in opening a business in their home country.
