La reciente construcción de una epidemia de obesidad global favorece que -además de ser estéticamente deseable- la delgadez se considere autoevidencia del estado de salud del individuo y marca de moralidad. En esta autoetnografía reflexiono sobre mi vivencia de ser gorda desde la infancia hasta la adultez, desde un enfoque sociológico feminista. La imposición cultural de la delgadez y la gordofobia alimentaron sentimientos de incapacidad, inadecuación corporal y sufrimiento psicológico que promovieron conductas alimentarias problemáticas. Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 63 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 26 attēlus, 9 tabulas, 3 pielikumus un 60 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Maģistra darba mērķis bija izvērtēt redzes funkcijas vienpusēju un abpusēju kataraktu gadījumos pēc iedzimtas kataraktas ekstrakcijas operācijas. Pētījumā piedalījās 106 bērni ar operētu iedzimtu kataraktu, kopā 143 pseidofakiskas un 19 afakiskas acis. Pētījums demonstrē, ka pediatrisko kataraktu prezentācijas laiks ir būtisks faktors redzes asuma, refrakcijas, miopiskās novirzes un binokulāro funkciju attīstībā pēc kataraktas operācijas. We investigated the electrophysiological actions of dofetilide upon the ventricular myocardium to determine whether the drug modifies the inhibitory effects of subthreshold stimuli trains upon ventricular refractoriness. In nine Langendorff perfused rabbit hearts, ventricular epicardial electrodes were used to determine the following parameters at baseline and during dofetilide perfusion (0.5 micromolar): effective (ERP) and functional (FRP) refractory periods, conduction velocity (CV), wavelength (WL), and ERP prolongation (inhibitory effect) induced by subthreshold stimuli trains (STr) at pulse frequencies of 100, 300, and 600 Hz. The most common respiratory protein of mollusks is the blue, copper-containing hemocyanin (van Holde and Miller, 1995). It is not bound to hemocytes but suspended in the hemolymph. Its molecular mass ranges from 3500 10 to 8000 10 Da (dalton) or even more (Herskovits, 1988). These differences in molecular weight are due to the fact that the basic decamers that constitute the barrel-shaped protein may aggregate to didecamers or multidecameric elongated particles (Herskovits, 1988).
