Grīvas pilsēta 1920.-1935. gadā: pārvalde, iedzīvotāji un sabiedriskā dzīve

2022

2012

The analysis of complex systems such as those captured by scientific ecology shows that the occurrence of damaging events is difficult to predict. Moreover, most of these unpredictable events will be those with the strongest echoes, giving full meaning to the concept of risk as cross between hazard and vulnerability. Each of these two components of risk has a spatial dimension more or less obvious, and to understand the natural risk, occurrence and spatial extension of the hazard and the vulnerability should be analyzed jointly. Thus, we show that for environmental risk, the question of "where?" posed by the prediction refers certainly to ecological and geographical problems, but also econo…

2011

By discussing the concept of development itself, authors propose two synthetic indexes relying on estimation of potential: Development Space Value and Development Space Creation Under the weak hypothesis that any successful development improves future possibilities, changes in potential are a good development measure. In their path, authors show how development space is tied with freedom: a shrink in it results mechanically in indexes fall. So, "sustainable" and "economic" become two sides of same piece rather than enemies. Reliable in simulations, the approach is to be tested in real conditions, to verify full data availability and to secure calculating methods.

Contraintes et libertés textuelles

2006

The article starts from a conception of language according to which the semiotic units that speakers use do not emanate from individual mental processes but from the socialization of representation instruments which, being individual elements initially, have later been involved in processes of communicative circulation. In the same way that, in each language, verbal uses are limited by a series of restrictions in the constitution of some phonic, lexical or morphosyntactic structures, there are also some other constraints that affect textual genres. This means that these are the product of the history of the uses of language and that they work at a praxeologic level. These ideas apply to the…

Konceptuālās metaforas lietojums rakstos par akciju biržas tirgu

2015

Repliche a Celano, Moreso, Segatti e Spena

2020

2014

The Book of Wisdom is one of those late biblical Judaism texts that were created in the context of the creative confrontation with the Hellenic culture prevailing at that time. This confrontation concerned, among others, the basic question of faith of the chosen people, namely, the profession of the one only God who manifests his justice in the events of national and universal history. The basic event for the author of the Book of Wisdom is the exodus of Israel from Egypt, the aim of which was the entry of the chosen people into the Promised Land. On this way the nation experienced Godʼs Justice that proved to be his Grace and Mercy.

Grzech pierworodny w kontekście ewolucyjnego obrazu świata

2021

Modern science portrays the genesis of man as just another link in the chain of evolution - first cosmic and then biological evolution. In such a worldview there is no place for a Garden ofEden or a miraculously innocent couple. Also, violence, suffering and death have accompanied humanity from the very beginning. The aim ofthis paper is to show that the Christian doctrine oforiginal sin does not conflict with the scientific worldview, provided, however, that it is properly understood. Within the evolutionary model ofthe world, original sin can be defined as the refusal to take a certain step that at some point should have been taken and that was made possible by Gods call. The failure to …
