This paper deals with the mathematical analysis of the spectral moments of non-wide-sensestationary uncorrelated-scattering (non-WSSUS) mobile-to-mobile (M2M) double-Rayleigh fading channels. The point of departure is a recently proposed geometry-based statistical model (GBSM) for M2M double-Rayleigh fading channels from which general analytical expressions are derived for the average Doppler shift, Doppler spread, average delay, and delay spread. Closed-form solutions of such expressions are presented for the particular case of the geometrical two-rings scattering model. Occlusion of two adjacent cortical veins in rats by means of a photochemical thrombotic technique provides a minimally invasive, clinically relevant, and reproducible model suited to study the pathophysiology of CVCDs. This paper concerns the design, analysis, and simulation of a 3D non-stationary channel model fed with inertial measurement unit (IMU) data. The work in this paper provides a framework for simulating the micro-Doppler signatures of indoor channels for human activity recognition by using radiofrequency-based sensing technologies. High-resolution stimulated Raman spectroscopy was applied to the study of collisional broadening and shifting for rovibrational anisotropic Raman lines of the Fermi dyad of molecular carbon dioxide. The O(J) lines of the ν1 band and the S(J) lines of the 2ν2 band were recorded at 295 K. The pressure-induced line shifts were obtained and compared with the overall shift of the high-density Raman Q-branch. High-resolution photoacoustic Raman spectroscopy of gases

A high-resolution photoacoustic Raman spectroscopy experiment is described. The resolution achieved by using two single-mode pulsed lasers is about 0.0054 cm −1 (full width at half maximum intensity). The experiment was tested first on the v 1 /2v 2 bands of CO 2 and gave an increase of at least about one order of magnitude in the signal-to-noise ratio with respect to stimulated Raman spectroscopy at low pressure (ca. 10 Torr ≃ 1.3 kPa). The sensitivity is also demonstrated by the study of the weak hot band v 1 +v 2 −v 2 of CO 2 . In both cases, the experimental line shape is well reproduced by taking into account Doppler and collisional effects. A comparison with CARS spectra was also made

To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of multislice computed tomography coronary angiography (MSCT-CA) in the detection of in-stent restenosis.Forty-two patients (33 male, 9 female, mean age 58+/-8 years) previously subjected to percutaneous implantation of coronary stent with suspected in-stent restenosis, underwent a 16-row MSCT (Sensation 16, Siemens) examination. ADCP velocity profiles analisys in the Castellammare gulf

Velocity profiles have been collected in three points within the Castellammare gulf at around 1500 m far from the coastline. This area is characterized by the presence of an aquaculture farm that positioned 5 floating cages in this zone. The impact of this activity on the environment strictly depends on the currents and water exchange. The general aim of this research is the characterization of the circulation characteristics of this area.
