The aim of the study was to investigate the relationships between enjoyment, perceived competence, fundamental movement skills, and physical activity engagement of Grade 7 students participating in Finnish physical education. A secondary aim of the study was to examine gender differences in all assessed variables. The participants of the study were 404 Grade 7 students aged 13 years. The sample comprised 210 girls and 194 boys, who were involved in 23 classes taught by 10 physical education teachers at three secondary schools. Esittelemme tässä artikkelissa toisen kirjoittajan, Juhana Salosen, elämää autoetnografisesta näkökulmasta. Salonen on viittomakielinen kuuro, joka on kärsinyt nuoruudessaan vakavista psyykkisistä ongelmista epävarman identiteettinsä ja puutteellisten sosioemotionaalisten taitojensa vuoksi. Toinen artikkelin kirjoittaja Syväoja on kuuleva psykiatri ja Salosen äiti. Autoetnografisen tutkimuksemme tavoitteena on keskustella avoimesti Salosen elämästä sekä yhdistää sosiokulttuurinen ja lääketieteellinen näkökulma lähemmäksi toisiaan. Tutkimuksemme osoittaa, että yhteiskunnan olisi tärkeää tarkastella viittomakielisten kuurojen ja heidän elämäänsä läheltä nähneiden henkilökohtaisia kokemuksia. …

In this article the researchers present an auto-ethnographic study of the first presenter´s life. Salonen is a Deaf person who suffered severe psychological problems in his youth because of uncertainty about his identity and a lack of social-emotional skills. Syväoja is a hearing psychiatrist and she is also Salonen's mother. The purpose of this research is to discuss openly Salonen´s life. ABSTRACT Recent reports suggest that nuclear domain(s) 10 (ND10) is the site of papillomavirus morphogenesis. The viral genome replicates in or close to ND10. In addition, the minor capsid protein, L2, accumulates in these subnuclear structures and recruits the major capsid protein, L1. We have now used cell lines deficient for promyelocytic leukemia (PML) protein, the main structural component of ND10, to study the role of this nuclear protein for L2 incorporation into virus-like particles (VLPs). L2 expressed in PML protein knockout (PML −/− ) cells accumulated in nuclear dots, which resemble L2 aggregates forming at ND10 in PML protein-containing cells. These L2 assemblies also attracted…
