This study deals with Pap. 4 resp. D. 23.4.26.3, interesting text of Papinian in which an actio utilis in factum is granted against the husband who, in violation of what was agreed, had not reimbursed his wife for the travel expenses incurred to reach him. The author excludes it was a contractual action (a. praescriptis verbis, a.c.i.), believing rather that it was an a. de dolo in factum, in application of the principle that prohibited the exercise of infaming actions between spouses (C. 5.12.1.2; Ulp. 11 ad ed. D. 4.3.11.1).

Bone metastases, often a consequence of breast, prostate, and lung carcinomas, are characterized by an increased bone turnover, which can be visualized by positron emission tomography (PET), as well as single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). Bisphosphonate complexes of 99mTc are predominantly used as SPECT tracers. In contrast to SPECT, PET offers a higher spatial resolution and, owing to the 68Ge/68Ga generator, an analog to the established 99mTc generator exists. Na tle problematyki zawartej opracowaniu pojawił się problem związany z finansowaniem zabytku nieruchomego znajdującego się w innej gminie, będącego własnością jednostki samorządu terytorialnego innej niż ta, w której zabytek się znajduje. W takim przypadku gmina, mimo że zabytek nie znajduje się na jej terenie, musi sfinansować prace remontowo- -konserwatorskie zabytku w ramach opieki właścicielskiej. Somatostatin and Somatostatin Receptors: From Signaling to Clinical Applications in Neuroendocrine Neoplasms

Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are heterogeneous neoplasms which arise from neuroendocrine cells that are distributed widely throughout the body. Although heterogenous, many of them share their ability to overexpress somatostatin receptors (SSTR) on their cell surface. Due to this, SSTR and somatostatin have been a large subject of interest in the discovery of potential biomarkers and treatment options for the disease. The aim of this review is to describe the molecular characteristics of somatostatin and somatostatin receptors and its application in diagnosis and therapy on patients with NENs as well as the use in the near future of somatostatin antagonists.

Direct detection of 17O NMR in [Gd(DOTA)]- by NMR Spectroscopy

The 17O NMR spectrum of the non-coordinated carboxyl oxygen in the GdIII-DOTA (DOTA = tetraazacyclododecanetetraacetic acid) complex has been observed experimentally. Its line width is essentially unaffected by paramagnetic relaxation due to gadolinium, and is only affected by the quadrupole pathway. The results are supported by the relevant parameters (hyperfine and quadrupole coupling constants) calculated by relativistic DFT methods. This finding opens up new avenues for investigating the structure and reactivity of paramagnetic GdIII complexes used as contrast agents in magnetic resonance imaging.
