Migration patterns and fat reserves of Curlew Sandpipers Calidris ferruginea at a stopover site in southern Italy

The Volturno Plain, southern Italian coast, is a regular stopover site for Curlew Sandpipers during northward migration. During 1992–1998, 2,177 Curlew Sandpipers were ringed and measured on northward migration; numbers trapped each year fluctuated. Peak passage was during the period 6–10 May, with 94% of birds trapped in the period 1–20 May. Median date of passage of males preceded females by about five days. Using a new visual method to evaluate fat deposition in waders, there was a strong correlation between body weight and visually estimated fat deposits. Birds showed a mass increase of 2.8 g/day. Notes on wintering waders in the coastal humid zones of province of Trapani (Sicily). The coastal wetlands of Trapani still are of great national importance for migratory and wintering waders despite the dramatic reduction occurred in the last hundred years. During this research the author carried out surveys in coastal wetlands from Trapani to Mazara del Vallo, in order to estimate qualitative and accurate quantitative values of wintering waders. Modelling and simulation of several interacting cellular automata

Cellular automata are used for modelling and simulation of many systems. In some applications, the system is formed by a set of subsystems that can be modelled separately, but, in such cases, the existence of interactions between these subsystems requires additional modelling and computer programming. In this paper we propose a modelling methodology for the simulation of a set of cellular automata models that interact with each other. The modelling methodology is described, together with an insight on implementation details. Also, it is applied to a particular cellular automata model, the Sanpile model, to illustrate its use and to obtain some example simulations.
IL PIRO PIRO BOSCHERECCIO TRINGA GLAREOLA IN ITALIA È UNO SVERNANTE REGOLARE

The Wood Sandpiper,Tringa glareola, is a regular wintering species in Italy. We revised wintering status of Wood Sandpiper analysing 75 sightings (99 individuals) from December 2001 until January 2019. Data were collected from direct monitoring in Latium and Sicily and integrated by bibliography and national/regional data base. The species is regularly wintering with an estimate population of 1-9 individuals per year (mean value 1.32 individuals/sighting; DS=0.71). Tringa glareola was recorded in 40 sites, 20 Provinces and 10 Regions. Preferred wintering places are in Latium, Sicily and Sardinia. Utilised sites during last wintering seasons are increasing.

Article addresses the impact of elDAS regulation and the new definition of a document on practical aspects of authentication electronic copies of the document in regard to amended article 97 of Polish Notary Act. Author summarizes functions of document and comparizes definition between document in Polish Civil Code as well as electronic document in elDAS Regulation. The merits of the thesis is the analysis of electronic document authentication. Author expresses important issues in the field of electronic document authentication describing trusted services which may be of use in authentication.
