Bīdes pretestības noteikšana gitijai ar spārniņgriezes metodi

Bakalaura darbā veikts pētījums par gitijas bīdes pretestības noteikšanu, izmantojot spārniņgriezes metodiku un konusa penetrācijas metodi. Rīgā, Zilajā ielā 1 tika veikti mērījumi ar spārniņgriezes metodi, noņemti paraugi laboratorijas testiem, lai raksturotu gitijas fizikālās īpašības. Pētījumā pārbaudīta gitijas spārniņgriezes bīdes stiprības pret statiskās zonde iegūstamajām vērtībām, kas sevī iekļauj vairāku korelācijas koeficientus izmantošanu. Darbā pielietotas laboratorijas un tiešās grunts izpētes metodes. Mālaino grunšu bīdes pretestības noteikšana lauka un laboratorijas apstākļos

Maģistra darba ietvaros veikts pētījums par mālaino grunšu saistes noteikšanu lauka un laboratorijas apstākļos. Ānes mālu karjerā veikti mērījumi ar spārniņgriezi un noņemti netraucētas grunts paraugi tiešās bīdes testiem laboratorijā. Pētījumā ir veikti mērījumi dabīgos apstākļos, kā arī mākslīgi sajauktā gruntī. Izmantojot literatūrā norādītās korelācijas, veikta iegūto rezultātu korekcija izmantojot plūstamības robežu un plastiskuma skaitli, kā arī diskutēts par piemērotāko korekcijas faktoru pētītajiem Zemgales sprostezera māliem. Iegūtie rezultāti paplašina priekšstatu par slāņotu mālaino nogulumu bīdes pretestības pētīšanu, izmantojot spārniņgriezi un tiešās bīdes testu.

An arthritogenic alphavirus uses the α1β1 integrin collagen receptor

Ross River (RR) virus is an alphavirus endemic to Australia and New Guinea and is the aetiological agent of epidemic polyarthritis or RR virus disease. Here we provide evidence that RR virus uses the collagen-binding alpha1beta1 integrin as a cellular receptor. Infection could be inhibited by collagen IV and antibodies specific for the beta1 and alpha1 integrin proteins, and fibroblasts from alpha1-integrin-/- mice were less efficiently infected than wild-type fibroblasts. Soluble alpha1beta1 integrin bound immobilized RR virus, and peptides representing the alpha1beta1 integrin binding-site on collagen IV inhibited virus binding to cells. Ferulago nodosa (L.) Boiss. (Apiaceae) is a species occurring in the Balkan-Tyrrhenian area being present in Crete, Greece, Albania, and probably in Macedonia. Although the western disjointed population of Sicily has been classified as an endemic sub-species, F. nodosa subsp. geniculata (Guss.) Troia & Raimondo, its official acceptance is quite controversial. Summary Background In patients with COPD, exacerbations are associated with poor quality of life and may shorten survival. Prevention of exacerbations is, therefore, a key objective in COPD management. Indacaterol, a once-daily ultra-long-acting β 2 -agonist, has been shown to reduce exacerbations in various studies. The article is based on a synthetic description of this part of Julian Komhauser’s oeuvre, in which the figure of a child appears. Thus, it focuses on the interpretation of a selection of the poet’s texts that are addressed to children exclusively. A significant part is therefore devoted to considerations on the poems that are situated in the borderland between literature for children and texts for adults. The major synthetic aim of the article is an attempt to divide Kornhauser’s “children’s poems” into two main categories: carnivalesque, as well as reflexive and symbolic ones.
