Abstract Geothermal energy exploitation in the Upper Rhine Graben (URG) chiefly has targeted faults and fractures within or connected with the crystalline basement, where hot fluids of c. 200 °C circulate at depths of c. 5 km. Vieraiden kielten oppiminen ei rajoitu pelkästään kouluun ja opettajan järjestämään toimintaan, vaan kieliä opitaan myös muissa yhteyksissä, esim. perheen parissa. Sosiokulttuurinen oppimisteoria, joka toimii tämän pro gradu -tutkielman taustateoriana, painottaa vanhempien ja lapsen välisen vuorovaikutuksen sekä oppijan tekijyyden tärkeyttä oppimisessa. Vanhempien tuesta tehdyt tutkimukset osoittavat, että vanhempien tuki on tärkeää ja hyödyllistä lastensa oppimisessa etenkin motivaation ja koulumenestyksen kannalta. Das Buch befasst sich mit dem Zusammenspiel von kognitiven, emotionalen und motivationalen Faktoren beim Aufbau von mündlicher Kompetenz in Deutsch als Tertiärsprache bei erwachsenen Italienern. Es stützt sich dabei auf ein interdisziplinäres Vorgehen, das theoretisch erörtert und in seiner Methodenwahl ausführlich dargelegt wird, insbesondere die Videografie sowie intro-/retrospektive Verfahren. Die Ergebnisse der Studie veranschaulichen die Lernprozesse einmal klassenübergreifend, zum anderen erfolgt eine detaillierte Analyse der einzelnen Lernenden. Das Literaturverzeichnis liefert Lehrenden, Studierenden und Forschern eine erschöpfende bibliographische Quelle zu den behandelten Themen.

Iris species can adopt different pollination strategies to attract their pollinators, generalized shelter-mimicking, specialized deceptive sexual-mimicking or food-rewarding. As attractive stimuli, Iris flowers may use their colours, large-size, symmetry, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). However, relatively few studies in- vestigated Iris floral olfactory cues in the context of plant-visitor/pollinator interactions. Master's thesis in Political science and management (ME502) Sykefravær er et komplekst fenomen som rammer de fleste organisasjoner i mindre eller større grad, ofte det sistnevnte. Årsaker til sykefravær knyttes til ulike, om enn relaterte forklaringer, og det interessante i denne sammenheng er forklaringer på sykefravær. Studien er myntet på ledere i virksomheter med ti eller flere ansatte, der 1716 virksomheter deltok i undersøkelsen. Snarere ble det mottatt utfylte spørreskjema fra 2910 personer –tilsvarende en responsrate på 71 %. As tables, boards, and walls become surfaces where interaction can be supported by auditory displays, it becomes important to know how accurately and effectively a spatial gesture can be rendered by means of an array of loudspeakers embedded in the surface. Parallel macro pipelining on the intel SCC many-core computer

In this paper we present how Intel's Single-Chip-Cloud processor behaves for parallel macro pipeline applications. Subsets of the SCC's available cores can be arranged as a pipeline where each core processes one stage of the overall workload. Each of the independent cores processes a small part of a larger task and feeds the following core with new data after it finishes its work. Our case-study is a parallel rendering system which renders successive images and applies different filters on them.
