Technology-mediated (i.e. distant) meetings are complex settings that involve distributed participation frameworks and the coordination of actions in multiple interactional spaces. This paper examines how problems with hearing, speaking, or understanding in the overall meeting space enable the negotiation of alignment and affiliation by co-present participants in the same local meeting space. The uprising of 1994 by the Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN) in Mexico, represented not only a political and military event but also a discursive one. In this study, I analyse the ways in which historical and factual dimensions are intertwined with the personal accounts written by  Subcomandante Marcos ; military leader and spokesperson of the EZLN. Purpose The DICOM standard, introduced in 1993, is now established in many of today's image modalities. Experiences with DICOM implementations and requirements for future developments are described. Methods First a brief summary of the development of the DICOM standard is given. Based on general observations, different problems with installation, programming and maintenance are outlined. Observation of ψ(3686)→η′e+e−

Abstract Using a data sample of 448.1 × 10 6 ψ ( 3686 ) events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we report the first observation of the electromagnetic Dalitz decay ψ ( 3686 ) → η ′ e + e − , with significances of 7.0σ and 6.3σ when reconstructing the η ′ meson via its decay modes η ′ → γ π + π − and η ′ → π + π − η ( η → γ γ ), respectively. The weighted average branching fraction is determined to be B ( ψ ( 3686 ) → η ′ e + e − ) = ( 1.90 ± 0.25 ± 0.11 ) × 10 − 6 , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic.

High-statistics study of f0(1500) decay into π0π0

Abstract A partial-wave analysis of the reaction p p →π 0 π 0 π 0 has been performed using a high-quality high-statistics data set of 712 000 events. In addition to the f0(975) and f0(1300), the scalar resonance with mass m = (1500 ± 15) MeV and width Γ = (120 ± 25) MeV is necessary to describe the data.

Multimodal treatment approaches for children with tumors of the central nervous system (CNS) have markedly contributed to improved survival. Before 1970, the survival rate among children with medulloblastoma, the most common malignant CNS tumor in children, was about 20%. At present, in contrast, cure can be achieved in more than 75% of children with a favorable constellation of risk factors.
