Nymphaeetum candidae Miljan 1933 in Poland

This paper presents the distribution, floristic composition and ecological requirements of the water plant community <em>Nymphaeetum candidae</em> Miljan 1933, belonging to the <em>Potametea</em> class. Until present this community has been reported only from north-eastern Poland. During present studies it was stated also in the south-western part of the country. <em>Nymphaeetum candidae</em> is considered to be a rare and endangered plant community in several countries of Central Europe.

The paper presents a rush community new to Poland - <em>Scirpetum radicantis </em>Hejny in Hejny et Husak 1978 em. Zahlh. 1979, belonging to the <em>Phragmition </em>alliance. It was discovered in fishponds near Olesno in Silesia (SW Poland). The floristic composition and the ecological requirements of this association are presented in the paper. <em>Scirpetum radicantis </em>is considered to be a very rare and endangered plant community in Europe.

The paper presents the distribution, floristic composition and ecological requirements of the pleustonic plant community <em>Utricularietum australis</em> Th. Müller et Görs 1960 in Poland. The association was classifield to the Lemnetea minoris class. <em>Utricularietum australis</em> is considered to be a rare and endangered plant community in Europe.

The paper presents a water plant community new to Poland - <em>Nymphaeetum albae</em> Vollmar 1947 em. Oberd. in Oberd. et al. 1967, belonging to the i class. It was discovered in fishponds in Pokój near Namysłów, Lasowice Małe near Kluczbork and small ponds in Staniszcze Małe near Opole in Silesia (SW Poland). Floristic composition and ecological requirements of this association are presented in the paper. <em>Nymphaeetum albae</em> is considered to be a rare and endangered plant community in Europe.
Current distribution of Pilularia globulifera L. in Poland – changes of geographical range and habitat preferences

<em>Pilularia globulifera </em>is a subatlantic European fern threatened with extinction. In Poland, it reaches the eastern border of its continuous range. Up to the end of the 20th century, it was observed here in 21 stands; only 2 of them existed by the second half of the century, so the species was categorized as critically endangered. Five new locations have been found in western and northwestern Poland during the last 10 years. Abundant and permanent populations grow in 3 locations, while 2 stands were ephemeral. Influence of Culture Conditions on In Vitro Asymbiotic Germination of Anacamptis longicornu and Ophrys panormitana (Orchidaceae)

This study is the first approach to in vitro asymbiotic germination of two species of Sicilian threatened terrestrial orchids, Anacamptis longicornu and Ophrys panormitana. Seeds were collected in the wild and cultured in two different media—Orchimax medium (OM) and Murashige and Skoog (MS)—and exposed to different photoperiods and temperatures to evaluate the best conditions for the specific stages of development. The germination of A. longicornu was very high on OM (95.5%) and lower on MS medium (21.4%), whereas O. panormitana germinated only on OM medium, with significantly lower percentages (12.0%), compared with A. longicornu. Zespół rdestnicy wydłużonej Potametum praelongi Sauer 1937 w rezerwacie Smolnik na Śląsku Opolskim

Na terenie rezerwatu przyrody Smolnik na Śląsku Opolskim fitocenozy zespołu rdestnicy wydłużonej Potametum praelongi zostały stwierdzone podczas badań geobotanicznych w 2015 r. – współrzędne geograficzne 50°83'97,62'' N, 18°24'59,79'' E. Dotychczas zespół ten nie był notowany na obszarze tego rezerwatu. W Polsce należy do bardzo rzadko notowanych zbiorowisk. W rezerwacie Smolnik płaty tego zespołu wykształciły się w wodzie o głębokości 150 – 200 cm, o pH 7,4. W większości z nich ma budowę dwuwarstwową, rzadziej jednowarstwową. The relationship between personalities and self-report positive driving behavior in a Chinese sample.

Driving behaviors play an important role in accident involvement. Concretely speaking, aberrant driving behaviors would cause more accidents, and oppositely positive driving behaviors would promote to build safety traffic environment. The main goals of this study were to explore the positive driving behavior and its relationship with personality in a Chinese sample. A total of 421 licensed drivers (286 male and 135 female) from Beijing, China completed the Positive Driver Behavior Scale (PDBS), the Driver Behavior Questionnaire (DBQ), the Dula Dangerous Driving Index (DDDI) and the Big Five Inventory (BFI) on a voluntary and anonymous basis. Kalastuksen kohteena on yleensä useita kalalajeja ja käytössä on useita eri kalastustapoja, hyvin yleisesti myös verkkoja. Vapaa-ajankalastus muodostaa uhan useiden lajien kestävyydelle ja erityisesti se estää uhanalaisen järvilohen ja vaarantuneen järvitaimenen kantojen palautumisen. Nämä lajit taantuivat vesivoiman rakentamisen seurauksena.
