Market orientation, trust and satisfaction in dyadic relationships:a manufacturer‐retailer analysis

This paper studies the relationships between the manufacturer's market orientation behaviours and the distributor's trust in the relationship and satisfaction with it. It also analyses the effect of the distributor's trust on his/her satisfaction. Following a review of the literature, three alternative models of relationships between trust and satisfaction are compared. For this purpose the article presents the results of a study of the Spanish ceramic industry. A SYNTHETIC MEASURE FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF THE PROJECT PERFORMANCE

The present paper aims to offer a synthetic project performance indicator (PPI) that aggregates two input parameters obtained by the Earned Value Analysis. The PPI is calculated by using a Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) able to single out a measure based on the input parameters, instead of formulating a mathematical model that could be a troublesome task whenever complex relations among the input variables exist. The purpose is to communicate the project performance to the stakeholders in a clear and complete way, for example, describing the PPI by means of contour lines.

Consumers’ Sustainability Perceptions of the Supply Chain of Locally Produced Food

This article is based on a qualitative focus group study regarding consumer perceptions about the sustainability of locally produced food supply chains. Sustainability perceptions were analyzed through thematic content analysis, where the most important economic, environmental and social themes of the supply chain were emphasized. According to the research findings, the socio-cultural aspects encompassing locally produced food form the most important sustainability dimension for consumers. A data warehouse typically is a collection of historical data designed for decision support, so it is updated from the sources periodically, mostly on a daily basis. Today’s business however asks for fresher data. Real-time warehousing is one of the trends to accomplish this, but there are a number of challenges to move towards true real-time. This paper proposes ‘Multi-stage Trickle & flip’ methodology for data warehouse refreshment. It is based on the ‘Trickle & flip’ principle and extended in order to further insulate loading and querying activities, thus enabling both of them to be more efficient.

Conceptualizing Online Discussion Value: A Multidimensional Framework for Analyzing User Comments on Mass-Media Websites

This chapter provides a micro-framework for analyzing the quantity and quality of online user comments on mass-media websites. On one dimension, news factors of news items and discussion factors of existing user comments are assumed to indicate the relevance of participating in online discussions. On a second dimension, specific motivational, social, and design factors are influential when reconstructing users’ decisions to participate in online discussions and when analyzing the content of online user comments. The two dimensions in combination describe the discussion value of news items. Potential applications of this framework on other forms of interpersonal communication are discussed.
