Abstract. Discrete in situ atmospheric measurements of molecular iodine (I2) were carried out at Mace Head and Mweenish Bay on the west coast of Ireland using diffusion denuders in combination with a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method. I2, IO and OIO were also measured by long-path differential optical absorption spectroscopy (LP-DOAS). The simultaneous denuder and LP-DOAS I2 measurements were well correlated (R2=0.80) but the denuder method recorded much higher concentrations. In 1963, 1964 and 1967, in broadcasted interviews, reviews or novels, Louis Aragon and Elsa Triolet wrote about Johnny Hallyday, the star and his songs. Their views on him are always kind, and thus greatly differ from the opinion the so-called « intellectuels » of the time had on the young singer. Read in comparison with Daniel Rondeau's novel about Johnny, which is itself based on these previous texts, « LouisElsa »'s textual materials about Johnny are intertwined works who give Johnny some legitimacy, while furnishing matter for literary creation.

Numerous lists of the premonitory signs of the Last Judgment and wider narratives focussing on the same motif, which presents variants and articulated typologies, circulated throughout the Middle Ages, both in Latin and in the vernacular languages. Ion motion in salt water flowing under a transverse magnetic field

The problem of ion motion in an electrolyte solution flowing in a thin rectangular duct with velocity VE in the presence of a transverse magnetic field B0 is studied by means of classical mechanics and electrodynamics. Because of Lorentz force on the ions in the electrolyte solution, a so called Faraday voltage appears at the electrodes orthogonal to both the field B0 and the velocity VE. The dynamics of positive and negative ions (cations and anions, respectively) in this classical system is studied by taking into account the viscosity of the fluid and the process of charge accumulation on the opposite walls of the duct. Dynamic daylight simulations are very useful instruments in daylighting design process. They allow an in depth analysis of indoor daylight availability levels and define if they are adequate to perform a particular visual task. Their results can be used to design shading devices or lighting control systems and compare different technical solutions. The use of these simulations is likely to spread in the common design practice since some regulations and green building rating systems suggest their use.
