Decision support systems (DSS) for wastewater treatment plants - A review of the state of the art.

The use of decision support systems (DSS) allows integrating all the issues related with sustainable development in view of providing a useful support to solve multi-scenario problems. In this work an extensive review on the DSSs applied to wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) is presented. The main aim of the work is to provide an updated compendium on DSSs in view of supporting researchers and engineers on the selection of the most suitable method to address their management/operation/design problems. The contribution analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the national health system with particular reference to the role of the health care professional in patient management during the emergency state and the possibility of limiting, in view of the scarcity of technical and human resources, access to treatment of sick patients. The reflection takes into account, at the same time, the recommendations and opinions provided in this regard by institutional subjects and the role of the healthcare professional in the emergency management of the patient.

El Carcinoma de Mama (CM) es el tumor maligno más frecuente en mujeres y su incidencia aumenta un 2% anual, por ello es uno de los problemas sanitarios más importantes de los países industrializados. Los sistemas nacionales de salud se centran en su diagnóstico precoz para minimizar las consecuencias fatales de la enfermedad, con la realización de mamografías periódicas en las mujeres entre los 40 y 70 años. The aim of this study was to determine whether existing risk prediction models can reliably identify patients presenting to hospital in the UK with acute right iliac fossa (RIF) pain who are at low risk of appendicitis. Abstract Objective: To examine the factors that influence informed participation in a Colorectal Cancer Screening Programme (CRCSP) from a gender perspective. Methods: Cross-sectional telephone survey directed to men and women invited to participate (2009-2010) in the Valencian Community CRCSP (Spain). Sample size: 785 subjects. Outcome variables: participation in CRCSP and being informed. Bivariate and multivariate analysis using logistic regression models (95% confidence interval [95%CI], p <0.05). [Abstrac] Women’s football is a phenomenon that is experiencing an unstoppable increase in recent years. The objective of this study was to analyze how ball possessions are performed in highperformance women’s football. For this, the 52 matches played by all the national teams participating in the Women’s World Cup 2015 were analyzed. A total of 3740 ball possessions were examined. Using the “move outcome” variable as a reference criterion, a statistically significant relationship was found between possessions that ended in success and possessions that have failed.
