Topology Optimization Design of Internal Reinforcements in a Sailing Dinghy

AbstractIn this paper, a novel approach has been followed based on FEM simulation and Topology Optimization tools to locate and model the reinforcements inside the hull of a sailing dinghy. This process assumes that the inner volume included between the hull and the deck is, at the beginning of the simulation, filled with material; then a portion of this inner volume is eroded until a final free form shape of the reinforcements is obtained. Construction stages of cable-stayed bridges with composite deck

A cable-stayed bridge is built by following a construction sequence of different subsequent stages that imply changes of the geometric configuration, restraints and consequently stress and strain patterns. A study is presented about stay stressing sequences in cable-stayed bridges with composite deck for the case of construction made by the cantilever method. Initial cable forces are found through partial elastic schemes of construction stages. Different stay stressing procedures are implemented and a comparison between them is proposed in order to evaluate the differences in terms of deformed shape and internal force distribution of the deck and the pylon. Wielki kryzys gospodarczy oraz rozgoryczenie społeczeństwa niemieckiego postanowieniami traktatu wersalskiego pomogły Adolfowi Hitlerowi w objęciu władzy w państwie, co skutkowało poważnymi zmianami w polityce wewnętrznej i zewnętrznej Rzeszy. Sytuacji w Niemczech bacznie przyglądała się również polska opinia publiczna. W artykule zbadane zostało zainteresowanie prasy endeckiej wydarzeniami, które miały miejsce bezpośrednio po upadku Republiki Weimarskiej.
Puuttuvan tiedon käsittely aivosähkökäyrämittauksissa

Aivosähkökäyrämittaukset ovat tyypillisesti hyvin työläitä ja pitkäkestoisia. Näiden seikkojen johdosta otoskoot ovat usein pieniä. Lisäksi osa koehenkilöistä päätyy lopettamaan mittaukset kesken, tai ei jaksa keskittyä annetun ohjeistuksen mukaisesti. Näin ollen valmiiksi hyvin rajalliseen aineistoon syntyy puuttuvuutta siten, että tietyt osakokeet jäävät kokonaan mittaamatta joidenkin henkilöiden osalta. Aineistossa ilmenevä puuttuvuus on käsitelty aivojenkuvantamismittauksissa tavanomaisesti siten, että analyysiin otetaan mukaan vain niitä koehenkilöitä koskevat mittaukset, joilta ei puutu lainkaan tietoa.
