Devona Arukilas svītas nogulumu uzbūve un sastāvs Ziemeļkurzemē
2017
Combined dynamics of the 500–600 nm leaf absorption and chlorophyll fluorescence changes in vivo: Evidence for the multifunctional energy quenching r…
2021
Carotenoids (Cars) regulate the energy flow towards the reaction centres in a versatile way whereby the switch between energy harvesting and dissipation is strongly modulated by the operation of the xanthophyll cycles. However, the cascade of molecular mechanisms during the change from light harvesting to energy dissipation remains spectrally poorly understood. By characterizing the in vivo absorbance changes (Delta A) of leaves from four species in the 500-600 nm range through a Gaussian decomposition, while measuring passively simultaneous Chla fluorescence (F) changes, we present a direct observation of the quick antenna adjustments during a 3-min dark-to-high-light induction. Underlying…
Single π0 production off neutrons bound in deuteron with linearly polarized photons
2021
The quasifree γ→d→π0n(p) photon beam asymmetry, Σ, has been measured at photon energies, Eγ, from 390 to 610 MeV, corresponding to center of mass energy from 1.271 to 1.424 GeV, for the first time. The data were collected in the A2 hall of the MAMI electron beam facility with the Crystal Ball and TAPS calorimeters covering pion center-of-mass angles from 49∘ to 148∘. In this kinematic region, polarization observables are sensitive to contributions from the Δ(1232) and N(1440) resonances. The extracted values of Σ have been compared to predictions based on partial-wave analyses (PWAs) of the existing pion photoproduction database. Our comparison includes the SAID, MAID and Bonn–Gatchina anal…
La Pequeña Edad de Hielo en el Golfo de València. Procesos en deltas y sistemas de restinga-albufera. La desestabilización reciente
2023
Characterisation of gd T cells infiltrating colorectal cancer
2021
We have read with great interest the paper by de Vries et al 1 reporting on the immune landscape of colorectal cancer (CRC) by high-dimensional mass cytometry, flow cytometry and single cell RNA sequencing. Among clusters of immune cells infiltrating CRC, authors have identified two populations of γδ T cells: one programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1)+ population is almost exclusively found in DNA mismatch repair (MMR)-deficient (d) tumours, constitutes up to 8.4% of CD45+ cells and has an activated phenotype, and a PD-1− counterpart with a resting phenotype, which is also found in colorectal normal mucosa and MMR-proficient (p) tumours. Using deconvolution of transcriptomic datasets and si…
A Comparison of Methodological Approaches to Measuring Cycling Mechanical Efficiency
2019
Background: Much is known about theoretical bases of different mechanical efficiency indices and effects of physiological and biomechanical factors to them. However, there are only a few studies available about practical bases and interactions between these efficiency indices, which were the aims of the present study. Methods: Fourteen physically active men (n = 12) and women (n = 2) participated in this study. From the incremental test, six different mechanical efficiency indices were calculated for cycling work: gross (GE) and net (NE) efficiencies, two work efficiencies (WE), and economy (T) at 150 W, and in addition delta efficiency (DE) using 3–5 observation points. Results: It was fou…
