El presente trabajo hace una caracterización de nivel de educación de participantes de turismo senior en Portugal. Así, se realizaron entrevistas a turistas mayores de diversas regiones de Portugal (Norte, Centro, Lisboa, Alentejo, Algarve e las Islas de Azores y Madeira). Para tal, se ha hecho un cuestionario acerca de comportamientos, lo cual se aplicó en 343 participantes. Los datos muestran que los turistas son, en su mayoría, mujeres, con edad media de 69.43 años (dp=5.28), casadas, que viven en la región norte de Portugal; y tienen como principal nivel de educación la enseñanza secundaria. The EUROCARE-5 survival study estimates survival of children diagnosed with cancer between 2000 and 2007, assesses whether survival differences among European countries have changed, and investigates changes from 1999 to 2007. Background: There are many models that study aspects of smoking habits: the influence of price, tax, relapse time, and the effects of prohibition. There are also studies examining the effects of the Spanish smoke-free law. We wanted to build a model able to separate the effect of the law from the pre-law evolution of smoking habits. Methods: Using data from the Spanish Ministry of Health and Social Policy, we developed a dynamic model of tobacco use. The model projects the evolution over time of the number of non-smokers, smokers and ex-smokers before 2006. Background:This study examined changes in multiple physical activity domains during the transition out of high school and psychosocial and environmental determinants of these changes.Methods:A 1-year prospective study was designed. The baseline sample was composed of 244 last-year high school students (58.6% female) from Valencia, Spain. Follow-up rate was 46%. Why has the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partisanship met with strong public resistance among some Europeans and in some European Union member states, but not in others? This article argues that one important perspective to explain the pattern of support for TTIP is the role of heuristic opinion formation and issue attention. Analysing multiple waves of Eurobarometer data, I find that views of the two treaty partners, the US and the European Union, shape attitudes towards TTIP and that the largely post-materialist concerns over TTIP resonated specifically in those European countries whose citizens’ attention was less focused on economic issues.
