Aspectos prácticos de la adhesión a dentina

Aunque los sistemas adhesivos han mejorado notablemente, los objetivos que persiguen los nuevos adhesivos son los mismos que perseguían en tiempos de Buonocore. La adhesión debe ser duradera y conseguir siempre que sea posible una interfase cerrada con un sellado perfecto. Se analizan los cuatro aspectos principales que describen una correcta adhesión: Acondicionamiento del substrato, el desarrollo de nuevos adhesivos y técnicas, mecanismos de unión (capa híbrida y tags de resina), resina y su polimerización, sobre todo teniendo en cuenta la contracción de polimerización.

Objectives: To evaluate the sealing capability of Cavit TM G with or without Clearfil TM S3 Bond and Prime & Bond NT placed in the pulp chamber. Study Design: Forty single rooted premolars, extracted for orthodontic and periodontal reasons, with intact coronal surface and mature apices, were standardized to a length of 15 mm. Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of diode laser irradiation and bleaching materials on the dentinal tubule diameter after laser bleaching. Material and Methods: The dentin discs of 40 extracted third molar were used in this experiment. Each disc surface was divided into two halves by grooving. One hundred twenty-seven children with osteogenesis imperfecta (O.I.) were studied during the first 10 years of life. According to Sillence, 40 patients were assigned to type I, 39 to type III, and 48 to type IV O.I. Centiles for height, weight, and the annual number of fractures could be established for the different types of O.I. The development of the skeletal changes could be documented for the different forms of the disease. At birth, the skeletal changes were significantly more severe in type III than in type IV patients.
