Radiative decay intoγPof the low lying axial-vector mesons

2008

We evaluate the radiative decay into a pseudoscalar meson and a photon of the whole set of the axial-vector mesons dynamically generated from the vector-pseudoscalar meson interaction. We take into account tree level and loop diagrams coming from the axial-vector decay into a vector and a pseudoscalar meson. We find a large span for the values of the radiative widths of the different axial-vector mesons. In particular, we evaluate the radiative decay into K{gamma} of the two K{sub 1}(1270) states, recently claimed theoretically, and discuss the experimental values quoted so far on the assumption of only one state.

New contributions to supersymmetric mechanism of neutrinoless double beta decay

1995

The neutrinoless double beta ($\znbb$) decay is analyzed within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with explicit R-parity violation (\rp MSSM). We have found new supersymmetric contributions to this process and give the complete set of relevant Feynman diagrams. Operators describing $0^+ \longrightarrow 0^+$ nuclear transitions induced by the supersymmetric interactions of the \rp MSSM are derived. These operators can be used for calculating the $\znbb$ decay rate applying any specific nuclear model wave functions.

Two-loop pinch technique in the electroweak sector

2002

The generalization of the two-loop Pinch Technique to the Electroweak Sector of the Standard Model is presented. We restrict ourselves to the case of conserved external currents, and provide a detailed analysis of both the charged and neutral sectors. The crucial ingredient for this construction is the identification of the parts discarded during the pinching procedure with well-defined contributions to the Slavnov-Taylor identity satisfied by the off-shell one-loop gauge-boson vertices; the latter are nested inside the conventional two-loop self-energies. It is shown by resorting to a set of powerful identities that the two-loop effective Pinch Technique self-energies coincide with the cor…

Infrared and extended on-mass-shell renormalization of two-loop diagrams

2003

Using a toy model Lagrangian we demonstrate the application of both infrared and extended on-mass-shell renormalization schemes to multiloop diagrams by considering as an example a two-loop self-energy diagram. We show that in both cases the renormalized diagrams satisfy a straightforward power counting.

Pinch technique at two loops: The case of massless Yang-Mills theories

2000

The generalization of the pinch technique beyond one loop is presented. It is shown that the crucial physical principles of gauge-invariance, unitarity, and gauge-fixing-parameter independence single out at two loops exactly the same algorithm which has been used to define the pinch technique at one loop, without any additional assumptions. The two-loop construction of the pinch technique gluon self-energy, and quark-gluon vertex are carried out in detail for the case of mass-less Yang-Mills theories, such as perturbative QCD. We present two different but complementary derivations. First we carry out the construction by directly rearranging two-loop diagrams. The analysis reveals that, quit…

Perturbative BF-Yang–Mills theory on noncommutative

2000

A U(1) BF-Yang-Mills theory on noncommutative ${\mathbb{R}}^4$ is presented and in this formulation the U(1) Yang-Mills theory on noncommutative ${\mathbb{R}}^4$ is seen as a deformation of the pure BF theory. Quantization using BRST symmetry formalism is discussed and Feynman rules are given. Computations at one-loop order have been performed and their renormalization studied. It is shown that the U(1) BFYM on noncommutative ${\mathbb{R}}^4$ is asymptotically free and its UV-behaviour in the computation of the $\beta$-function is like the usual SU(N) commutative BFYM and Yang Mills theories.

EXTRACTION OF INFRARED DIVERGENCES IN THE DIMENSIONAL REGULARIZED TWO-LOOP LADDER GRAPH

1994

We consider the evaluation of the fundamental scalar integral in the on-shell two-loop ladder graph with different external masses and arbitrary transfer momentum. A method for cleanly extracting the infrared divergences in the Feynman parameter integrals using dimensional regularization is presented, and we analyze one of the finite part contributions to this integral.

Models of CP Violation

2003

After the discovery of CP violation in K decay, a host of theoretical models was proposed to allocate this phenomenon to known interactions. Assuming CPT invariance of all interactions, the observed CP-violating effects in K decay imply also T violation. In general, with CPT invariance, there are four combinations of violations possible to be treated in this chapter

Analysis of the nonleptonic two-body decays of the Λ hyperon

2021

We systematically study two-body nonleptonic decays of light lambda hyperon $\Lambda \to p \pi^- (n\pi^0)$ with account for both short- and long-distance effects. The short-distance effects are induced by five topologies of external and internal weak $W^\pm$ exchange, while long-distance effects are saturated by an inclusion of the so-called pole diagrams with intermediate $\frac{1}{2}^+$ and $\frac{1}{2}^-$ baryon resonances. The contributions from $\frac12^+$ resonances are calculated straightforwardly by account for nucleon and $\Sigma$ baryons whereas the contributions from $\frac{1}{2}^-$ resonances are calculated by using the well-known soft-pion theorem in the current-algebra approac…

On the evaluation of a certain class of Feynman diagrams in x-space: Sunrise-type topologies at any loop order

2005

We review recently developed new powerful techniques to compute a class of Feynman diagrams at any loop order, known as sunrise-type diagrams. These sunrise-type topologies have many important applications in many different fields of physics and we believe it to be timely to discuss their evaluation from a unified point of view. The method is based on the analysis of the diagrams directly in configuration space which, in the case of the sunrise-type diagrams and diagrams related to them, leads to enormous simplifications as compared to the traditional evaluation of loops in momentum space. We present explicit formulae for their analytical evaluation for arbitrary mass configurations and arb…
