Bei der Polymerisation von Trioxan bei 70°C in der Schmelze mit HClO4 · H2O als Initiator nimmt die Bruttopolymerisationsgeschwindigkeit exponentiell mit steigender Wasserkonzentration ab; gleichzeitig nimmt die Lange der Induktionszeit entsprechend zu. Die Retardierung durch Wasser wird auf eine Hydratation aktiver Zentren zuruckgefuhrt. Wasser ist ein wirkungsvoller Polymerisationsubertrager; seine relative Ubertragungskonstante betragt bei 25°C in Methylenchlorid ca. 2,6. Structure and phase transitions in ethylenediammonium dichloride and its salts with antimony trichloride

During the mixing of ethylenediammonium dichloride and antimony trichloride except of reported earlier [NH3(CH2)2NH3]5(Sb2Cl11)2 · 4 H2O a new salt [NH3(CH2)2NH3](SbCl4)2 was obtained. The crystals are monoclinic at 295 K, space group C2/m, a = 13.829(3), b = 7.408(1), c = 7.588(2) Å; β = 103.18(3)°; V = 756.9(3) Å3; Z = 2; dc = 2.585, dm = 2.56(2) g · cm–3. The structure consists of anionic sublattice built of Sb2Cl82– units composed of two SbCl52– square pyramids connected by edge. The ethylenediammonium cations are located in anionic cavities. Titanocene Selenide Sulfides Revisited: Formation, Stabilities, and NMR Spectroscopic Properties

[TiCp2S5] (phase A), [TiCp2Se5] (phase F), and five solid solutions of mixed titanocene selenide sulfides [TiCp2SexS5−x] (Cp = C5H5−) with the initial Se:S ranging from 1:4 to 4:1 (phases B–E) were prepared by reduction of elemental sulfur or selenium or their mixtures by lithium triethylhydridoborate in thf followed by the treatment with titanocene dichloride [TiCp2Cl2]. Their 77Se and 13C NMR spectra were recorded from the CS2 solution. The definite assignment of the 77Se NMR spectra was based on the PBE0/def2-TZVPP calculations of the 77Se chemical shifts and is supported by 13C NMR spectra of the samples.
