The 1980s are characterized by rapid development of digitization process and research of digital libraries. In 1994 Latvia was also involved in this process with the first attempt to digitize the materials of high demand and in poor physical condition at the Latvian Academic Library. Browsing digital library (DL) collections seems to pose a challenge for a user owning to the number of factors like for instance, operability of the system, interface readability or clarity, and retrieval efficiency directly related to it, or the number of digital items within the user’s domain. This paper presents an original approach to image sharing in large, distributed digital libraries, in which a user is able to interactively search interesting resources by means of content-based image retrieval techniques. The approach described here addresses the issues arising when the content is managed through a peer-to-peer architecture. Comparison of healthy behavior in Ukrainian and Polish students of physical education

Introduction: This study aimed to examine the healthy behaviors in undergraduate students of Physical Education (PE) from Ukraine and Poland in comparison to the control sample of students of other faculties. Material and methods: The group of 564 university students (67% of males), ranging in age from 18 to 41 years (M = 22.05, SD = 2.49), was surveyed using a written form of the Health Behavior Inventory (HBI). Abstract Background: Digital libraries are typically used for retrieving and accessing articles in academic journals and repositories. Previous studies have been published about the performance of various biomedical research platforms, but no information is available about access preferences. Methods: A six-question survey was designed by the Italian Society of Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine (SIBioC) using the platform Google Drive, and made available for 1 month to the members of the society.
