The rapid development of digital assistants (DA) opens the way to new modes of interaction. Some DA allows users to personalise the way they respond to queries, in particular by teaching them new procedures. This work proposes to use machine learning methods to enrich the linguistic and procedural generalisation capabilities of these systems. The challenge is to reconcile rapid learning skills, necessary for a smooth user experience, with a sufficiently large generalisation capacity. A quantum mechanics-molecular mechanics study of dissociative electron transfer : The methylchloride radical anion in aqueous solution

The dissociative electron transfer reaction CH3Cl+e−→CH3•+Cl− in aqueous solution is studied by using a QM/MM method. In this work the quantum subsystem (a methylchloride molecule plus an electron) is described using density functional theory while the solvent (300 water molecules) is described using the TIP3P classical potential. By means of molecular dynamics simulations and the thermodynamic integration technique we obtained the potential of mean force (PMF) for the carbon–chlorine bond dissociation of the neutral and radical anion species. Le attività di ricerca presentate in questo contributo sono state essenzialmente finalizzate al rilievo delle facciate delle due tombe presso la necropoli dell’Acqualta e alla documentazione della porzione ovest del frontone della Tomba occidentale (sinistra), conservato al Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Firenze1275. [EN] Rock art documentation is a complex task that should be carried out in a complete, rigorous and exhaustive way, in order to take particular actions that allow stakeholders to preserve the archaeological sites under constant deterioration. The pigments used in prehistoric paintings present high light sensitivity and rigorous scientific color degradation mapping is not usually undertaken in overall archaeological sites. Microfading spectrometry is a suitable technique for determining the light-stability of pigments found in rock art paintings in a non-destructive way. Southwestern Sicily is an area of infrequent seismic activity; however, some studies carried out in the archaeological Selinunte site suggest that, between the fourth century BC and the early Middle Ages, probably at least two earthquakes strucked this area with enough energy to damage and cause the collapse and kinematics of much of the architecture of Selinunte.
