magazén - International Journal for Digital and Public Humanities is the interdisciplinary journal of the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) based at the Department of Humanities at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice undergoing double blind peer review and published twice per year in open access by Edizioni Ca’ Foscari. The articles of this volume focus on the consolidation of scholarly practices and research models circulating in the international scholarly context of Digital and Public Humanities addressing the concept of ‘consolidations’ from different perspectives and with different methodological approaches and presenting a varied and yet intertwined landscape.

New generation spectroscopy systems have advanced towards digital pulse processing (DPP) approaches. DPP systems, based on direct digitizing and processing of detector signals, have recently been favoured over analog pulse processing electronics, ensuring better performance. In this work, we present the performance of a new real time DPP system for X-ray and gamma ray semiconductor detectors. This paper presents an approach to create high fidelity Digital-Twin models for distributed multi-agent cyber-physical systems based on the combination of simulating components, generated from different modeling languages, each tailored for the specific domain of the subsystem. The approach specifically addresses the wireless communication domain, exploiting a Python module as a simulating component to evaluate the impact of network delay among the distributed elements of the system under analysis. The description of an ongoing project has the value of establishing some points of reflection useful to adjust the shot for the next phases of an experiment. In this paper, we are describing an ongoing project between Politecnico di Milano and Università degli Studi di Palermo. The feature on which this experimentation focuses is the analog/ digital survey, which tries to generate a “satellite” point of view, (a group of people physically in the analyzed area), and a “remote” one. The paper, firstly underlines the importance of surveys in urban planning, secondly displays the techniques, operators and equipment which are needed and it concludes with some considerations.
