Transmediating argumentation : Students composing across written essays and digital videos in higher education

This comparative study examined how university students built an argument in written essays and multimodal digital videos, and how their argumentation transmediated across these two mediums. Data analysis involved 1) analysis of content in both written essays and digital videos; 2) the development of transmediation visualizations to elucidate how ideas were transformed from essays into videos; and 3) multimodal analysis to understand the communicative affordances and constrains for argumentation with each medium. In this paper, we propose an original skew angle detection and correction technique. In this paper, we consider local Dirichlet problems driven by the (r(u),s(u))-Laplacian operator in the principal part. We prove the existence of nontrivial weak solutions in the case where the variable exponents r,s are real continuous functions and we have dependence on the solution u. Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers were used to assess levels and patterns of genetic diversity in Digitalis obscura L. (Scrophulariaceae), an outcrossing cardenolide-producing medicinal plant species. A total of 50 plants from six natural populations on the Iberian Peninsula were analysed by six arbitrarily chosen decamer primers resulting in 96 highly reproducible RAPD bands. [EN] This paper presents a didactical proposal for 11th grade students. The purpose of the activities is to show the relationship between astronomy and mathematics, specifically with the calculation of both geographic coordinates: latitude and longitude. The methodology used encourages independent work of students by using interactive digital applications and manipulative materials. These ressources allow students to work more easily with threedimensional geometry concepts that, otherwise, are abstract for them. The proposal is based on a classic problem: find the exact geographic position of any point on the Earth.

The study focuses on the use of 3D surveying and digital representation tools for the purpose of documenting archaeological monuments whose restoration involves the disassembly and repositioning of blocks. The case study in question is a building at the west end of the San Biagio archaic sanctuary, located within the archaeological site of Agrigento. The monument is a rectangular building encompassing two pools, whose foundations are suffering from deep decay and there are large spaces between the walls which have become disconnected.
