Asymptotics for Graded Capelli Polynomials

The finite dimensional simple superalgebras play an important role in the theory of PI-algebras in characteristic zero. The main goal of this paper is to characterize the T 2-ideal of graded identities of any such algebra by considering the growth of the corresponding supervariety. We consider the T 2-ideal Γ M+1,L+1 generated by the graded Capelli polynomials C a p M+1[Y,X] and C a p L+1[Z,X] alternanting on M+1 even variables and L+1 odd variables, respectively. We prove that the graded codimensions of a simple finite dimensional superalgebra are asymptotically equal to the graded codimensions of the T 2-ideal Γ M+1,L+1, for some fixed natural numbers M and L. Algebras with involution with linear codimension growth

AbstractWe study the ∗-varieties of associative algebras with involution over a field of characteristic zero which are generated by a finite-dimensional algebra. In this setting we give a list of algebras classifying all such ∗-varieties whose sequence of ∗-codimensions is linearly bounded. Moreover, we exhibit a finite list of algebras to be excluded from the ∗-varieties with such property. As a consequence, we find all possible linearly bounded ∗-codimension sequences.

Polynomial codimension growth of graded algebras

We study associative $G$-graded algebras with 1 of polynomial $G$-codimension growth, where $G$ is a finite group. For any fixed $k\geq 1,$ we construct associative $G$-graded algebras of upper triangular matrices whose $G$-codimension sequence is given asymptotically by a polynomial of degree $k$ whose leading coefficient is the largest or smallest possible.

Q7-branes and their coupling to IIB supergravity

We show how, by making use of a new basis of the IIB supergravity axion-dilaton coset, SL(2,R)/SO(2), 7-branes that belong to different conjugacy classes of the duality group SL(2,R) naturally couple to IIB supergravity with appropriate source terms characterized by an SL(2,R) charge matrix Q. The conjugacy classes are determined by the value of the determinant of Q. The (p,q) 7-branes are the branes in the conjugacy class detQ = 0. The 7-branes in the conjugacy class detQ > 0 are labelled by three numbers (p,q,r) which parameterize the matrix Q and will be called Q7-branes. Analysis of normal human retinal vascular network architecture using multifractal geometry

AIM To apply the multifractal analysis method as a quantitative approach to a comprehensive description of the microvascular network architecture of the normal human retina. METHODS Fifty volunteers were enrolled in this study in the Ophthalmological Clinic of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, between January 2012 and January 2014. A set of 100 segmented and skeletonised human retinal images, corresponding to normal states of the retina were studied.
