Efficacy of mometasone furoate microemulsion in the treatment of erosive-ulcerative oral lichen planus: pilot study

Background:  Oral lichen planus (OLP) is a frequent immunological chronic disease, having different clinical forms: asymptomatic and symptomatic. Symptomatic OLP has been palliated with topical corticosteroids with different levels of efficacy and safety. The purpose of this pilot phase II clinical trial was to determine the efficacy of mometasone furoate microemulsion upon the symptoms and signs of erosive-ulcerative OLP. Methods:  Forty-nine patients with clinical and histologically confirmed erosive-ulcerative OLP were enrolled in this study (36 women and 13 men). Their average age was 56.4 years (from 28 to 78). A method to synthesize 2-phenylselenenyl-1,3-anti-diols and 2-phenyl- selenenyl-1,3-anti-azidoalcohols via hydroxy- or azido-selenenylation of trans-allylic alcohols is reported. Moreover, the first example of hydroxyl-selenenylation of an allylic azide is presented. Yields ranging from moderate to good and diastereomeric ratios up to 95:5 are achieved.

NOTCH, a new signaling pathway implicated in holoprosencephaly.

International audience; Genetics of Holoprosencephaly (HPE), a congenital malformation of the developing human forebrain, is due to multiple genetic defects. Most genes that have been implicated in HPE belong to the sonic hedgehog signaling pathway. Here we describe a new candidate gene isolated from array comparative genomic hybridization redundant 6qter deletions, DELTA Like 1 (DLL1), which is a ligand of NOTCH. We show that DLL1 is co-expressed in the developing chick forebrain with Fgf8. By treating chick embryos with a pharmacological inhibitor, we demonstrate that DLL1 interacts with FGF signaling pathway. Stereoselective synthesis and application of tridentate aminodiols derived from (+)-pulegone

Abstract A library of tridentate aminodiols, derived from naturally occurring (R)-(+)-pulegone, was synthesized and applied as chiral catalysts in the addition of diethylzinc to benzaldehyde. The reduction of pulegone furnished pulegol, which was transformed into allylic trichloroacetamide via Overman rearrangement of the corresponding trichloroacetimidate. The protected enamine was subjected to dihydroxylation with OsO4/NMO system resulting in a 1:1 mixture of (1R,2R,4R)- and (1S,2S,4R)-aminodiol diastereomers. Abstract The diastereoselective synthesis of hydroxy substituted γ- and δ-lactones was accomplished following two approaches. A 5- or 6-endo cyclization promoted by electrophilic selenium reagents of α- or β-hydroxy acids and a 5- or 6-exo cyclization of hydroxy esters obtained through a diastereoselective hydroxy selenenylation reaction of α- or β-hydroxy esters. Moreover, the diastereoselective methoxy selenenylation of the above compounds was investigated showing a case in which the compound that was unreactive in the hydroxy selenenylation conditions gave, in the methoxy selenenylation conditions, the deprotected diol. Tie kļuvuši īpaši populāri kā uztura bagātinātāji ikdienas dzīvēs cilvēkiem, lai uzlabotu dzīves kvalitāti, papildinot uzturu ar vērtīgajām vielām, ko satur kaņepes. Kanabinoīdi no kaņepju auga uz organismu iedarbojas caur endokanabinoīdu sistēmu.
