Abstract Background Persimmon fruits are cherished for their unique flavor and high nutrient content. In the present study, the effects of Aloe vera-based edible coatings (EC) added with 1% ascorbic acid, 1% citric acid and 5% calcium chloride in modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) and their impact on shelf-life quality of fresh-cut persimmon fruit, were investigated. Intracranial stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is a technique to deliver an ablative radiation dose with an extremely sharp dose gradient to small brain tumors. This tecnique allows to deliver high doses of radiation to the tumor sparing the surrounding healthy tissue. In this study the accuracy of the dose delivered in a SRS session by a non conventional radiotherapy machine, the TomoTherapy Hi-Art System, was investigated using an "end-to-end" test. From june 16th to November 4th , 2018, Manifesta, the european nomadic art Biennial, held Palermo as host city of its 12th edition. Whithin this larger main framework, over the course of two semesters, four international studios from four celebrated schools of architecture have investigated, reflected and proposed future scenarios for the city of Palermo . The paper considers an iconographic type attested to in a series of Locrian pinakes, showing twins on horseback (one of which has a lyra eptacorde, the other a kantharos) in front of a female figure (type 8/35: ASMG S. IV, III, 5, fig. 34); this is considered a variant of a more common type with the Dioscuri on horseback with shield and phiale accompanied by a woman (Elena, Aphrodite or nubenda?).
