Associations between perceived parental psychological control and internalizing difficulties in emerging adulthood: the role of identity

Our study investigated the associations among two expressions of perceived parental psychological control (dependency-oriented parental control [DPC] and achievement-oriented parental control [APC]), identity, and internalizing difficulties among college-attending emerging adults. In particular, our aim was to examine the potential role of identity in the pathways linking both DPC and APC to internalizing difficulties. Our participants included 495 Italian college students (49% males), between 19 and 28 years of age (mean = 23.37 years, standard deviation = 2.35). Unlawful Aid and Public Undertakings: Vertical Direct Effect of Article 108(3), third sentence TFEU

This paper addresses the position of public undertakings that may appear in a State aid law-related context in their capacity of intermediaries or grantors of aid vis-à-vis Article 108(3), third sentence, TFEU, to check whether the standstill obligation directly applies to public undertakings where they act to grant or disburse State aid. Public undertakings must refrain from granting aid in breach of the standstill obligation, as addressees of the standstill obligation. Where a public undertaking fails to apply Article 108(3) TFEU, it opens itself to claims based on Union law, including claims for damages. Union law is stated as it stood on 20 June 2021.

Artykuł prezentuje ocenę jakości informacji w wybranych polskich katalogach stron WWW. W pierwszej części artykułu zaprezentowano charakterystykę, klasyfikację i ranking popularności katalogów stron. Następnie przedstawiono metodykę badania oceny jakości informacji w katalogach stron WWW. Do pomiaru jakości informacji zaproponowano kwestionariusz ankietowy. W drugiej części artykułu przedstawiono wyniki ewaluacji jakości informacji w wybranych katalogach stron WWW. Należy podkreślić, że wyniki badań są ograniczone ze względu na niewielką reprezentatywność próby. Artykuł kończy podsumowanie zawierające wnioski oraz wskazówki dotyczące dalszych kierunków badań.

In the debates on deliberative democracy it’s a common idea that the defenders of this theory argue for the direct participation of the citizens in the political issues and for the transformation of our current representative devices. However, in this work I argue that this conception is misguided, and that it’s the minority who defends the direct participation. The majority of the writers acknowledges the necessity of a representative device, although based on different premises to the liberal system. AbstractUnder the Directive 2012/34/EU (21 November 2012) “the charges for … [rail] infrastructure … shall be set at the cost that is directly incurred as a result of operating the train service”. This charging rule is new for Baltic States’ railways, where due to the favorable geographic position a full cost application without detalization was possible. Purpose This study examines the developmental interplay between silent reading fluency and reading comprehension from Grade 1 to Grade 9 (age 7 to 15) in a large Finnish sample (N = 2,518). Of particular interest was whether the associations are bidirectional or unidirectional.
