Unlike common 2D images, the light field representation of a scene delivers spatial and angular description which is of paramount importance for 3D reconstruction. In this article, a new minimum spanning tree-based method for shape description and matching is proposed. Its properties are checked through the problem of graphical symbols recognition. Recognition invariance in front shift and multi-oriented noisy objects was studied in the context of small and low resolution binary images. A Digital Watermarking Algorithm Based on DCT: Application on Medical Image

International audience; This work is a presentation of a new approach of robust watermarking applied in medical domain such as telemedicine hence the need to keep the visual aspect of medical images and other conservation of the various data substituted. For hiding information, the proposed method uses the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) space. To control identification and eventually the correction (if possible) of the data inserted, it should be noted that we used the series turbocode to recover the data inserted and after application of several attacks.

This method was applied here to evaluate the discrimination power of the inner lateral rib for two palstave populations dating from the Middle Bronze Age, excavated in northwest France. A corpus of almost 400 palstaves (bronze axes) of the Breton and Norman types was processed, and compared to specimens found at Sermizelles in Burgundy. Adaptive motion estimation and video vector quantization based on spatiotemporal non-linearities of human perception

The two main tasks of a video coding system are motion estimation and vector quantization of the signal. In this work a new splitting criterion to control the adaptive decomposition for the non-uniform optical flow estimation is exposed. Also, a novel bit allocation procedure is proposed for the quantization of the DCT transform of the video signal. On the Design of Fast Wavelet Transform Algorithms With Low Memory Requirements

In this paper, a new algorithm to efficiently compute the two-dimensional wavelet transform is presented. This algorithm aims at low memory consumption and reduced complexity, meeting these requirements by means of line-by-line processing. In this proposal, we use recursion to automatically place the order in which the wavelet transform is computed. This way, we solve some synchronization problems that have not been tackled by previous proposals. A Digital Watermarking Algorithm Based on Quantization of the DCT: Application on Medical Imaging

International audience; The objective of this paper is to elaborate a new watermarking algorithm applied to the medical imaging. This algorithm must be invisible, robust and has a rate, relatively high, integrating data. The proposed method uses the standard JPEG compression for the integration of medical data. The insertion block is inserted just after the quantization phase. To control identification and eventually the correction (if possible) of the inserted data, we use a series of turbocodes to recover the inserted data, after application of several attacks. The simulation studies are applied on MRI medicals images.
